Chargrill Charlie's Camberwell

We tried Charlie's for the first time upon a glowing recommendation.

The meals came out incorrect and cold, the staff looked bored and the chicken was so dry it was inedible. For what it was it was extremely expensive and disappointing.

We definitely won't be back.

Friendly staff and great food my favourite meal are Thai chicken, rice pudding, red curry chicken and cauliflower salad

I do love this place. Half a chook and chips, well priced.

Juicy tender tasty chicken, good seasoning chips, and the salad selections are amazing.

Chargrill Charlie’s came in hot and I was doubtful when I saw the prices. But the amazing customer service pulled me over the line. Have had many meals here and they are very reliable and generous. Not a great place to sit and eat but definitely worth checking out for takeaway.

First time to this place, (28/9/2022), spend $82,3 coke, 3 chicken burgers, 1 beef cheese burger, 6 chicken wings, and a regular chips. I only gave stars for the chips, the burgers were bland, they spread thinly mayo on the burger bun and add chicken, lettuce and tomato, chicken has no flavour, just plain. The chicken wings they called Devil wings (was told at the counter its spicy) not spicy at all, just plain and dry, seems been deep fry a few times. I guess it's just not suits to our palate, more flavour, maybe a bit more salt on the chicken fillet, anything.
Customer service not very welcoming, I walked in looking at the food on display, the guy in front didn't even move or say hello. ‍️
It's not worth what I've paid for these meal.

Doordashed roast lamb meal with side baked cauliflower w/cheese sauce. Should mention that I only ever order from here when that side is available. Often it's not and I guess it sells out quickly so is removed from being an option.
Today it was available so I completed my order. 20 mins later email received advising that baked cauliflower was not available so instead I would be receiving a raw, cold roast cauliflower salad and would be charged extra for something I don't like and would bin. Immediately cancel. Got credit but still tried to charge and deliver. With a cold soup added! Never again.

Settled on the traditional Handmade Roll with salad, chilli mayo and Peri Peri sauce as a Combo. $20. Not cheap really and didn’t include a drink, but you get what you pay for. It was fresh and tasty.

Great range of salads and catering options too.

Portuguese chicken seems dry and salty.unusual as they usually sent excellent. It was already chopped.

10/10 would eat again.

Decided to visit Chargrill Charlie's with the Mrs for the first time to scratch an itch for some good quality chicken.

We ordered a Half Portuguese Chicken + Chips combo (was around $16 I believe).

Waitstaff who served us provided excellent service and I believe we waited around ~3mins for our food to reach our table.

The food was the star of the show, easily the best charcoal chicken i've ever eaten in my entire life. The chicken was so incredibly succulent and juicy, and the side serving of chips was massive.

Loved the vibe at Chargrill Charlie’s. Lots of items to choose from. Love the classic roast and veg dining style but also burgers, rolls, salads etc. It would be good to have a kids menu available in future would be my main feedback. I got the schnitzel roll and it was delicious, more sauce would have been a bonus. Chips are technically fries, I asked for extra salt but they were standard but still delicious and easy to demolish!

Had high hopes for this place cos it looked really appealing however the food was not as good as it looked. Not sure why they have Asian cuisine which is weird and salads were basic. I think the chicken was definitely the best part of the meal… I would stick with that if you go

Waited 15 minutes to be served. Only 3 people infront of me. I left because I couldn’t wait another 15 minutes for food to be packaged. Have given them multiple chances, every time I order, something is missing that I have asked for. No attention to detail, chicken from woolies tastes better. Their veggies are always undercooked. Beans are raw. Just disgusting. Who puts cinnamon on pumpkin?

Hot, fresh and delicious. We ordered catering from here for a family party. Our night was made easy and hassle free from ordering online right through to collection on the night. The food was cooked to perfection and the serving sizes were generous. Our guests all commented on how good the food was. There was a great variety of fresh salads, hot dishes and desserts to choose from. We’ll be back for sure - thank you!

Great chicken and fabulous fries, also a good selection of salads. Much nicer than the standard chicken shop

Had a 1/4 chicken with chips. Chicken was dry and small. The chips were Mc Donald’s like French fries. Definitely not worth the $11 paid with credit card surcharge. The girl serving was polite which is why I gave it 2 stars. I’ll give them one last chance as maybe I just got a dud piece. I will update review pending that but I won’t be rushing back.

Ordered a Burger Chips and drink via uber eats. Never received Chips and drink as the staff couldn't be bothered reading it correctly!

Great range of delicious food and generous portions! The chips and chop salad are my favourite!

Burger and chips were great, but I asked for more tomato sauce and was told "that I got plenty" by the manager after being given only a small amount, for spending $40 on two burgers and chips I think I have the right to more tomato sauce, so that is why the low rating. Really disappointing that manager does not understand the importance of customer satisfaction when selling higher priced burgers.
