Charcoal Chicken

Have been eyeing this place for a very long time, finally got to eat from Bird Box. The food is quite good, we were able to chose 2 salads, corn and chips on the side. However when we got home, the corn was swimming in soggy water, the chips were enormous for 2 people. Honestly was a waste of potatoes. Also it’s rather expensive. All together was $50 for just 2 people. (Not the best photos, I know)

Seriously good food! We had the chicken on the spit with 3 salads. Everything fresh and clean. And with flavours that elevate far beyond a regular “chicken shop” I highly recommend!

They're outstanding, from the quality moist chicken and chips to the variety of quality salads. Greek salad with lemon olive oil, coleslaw is not your average but a special recipe. Their Gyro would rival the best places in Oakleigh.

Such a lovely place. You can tell a lot of love and care goes into the food. The lamb is delicious and has a wonderful charcoal flavour. The chicken is very juicy and tender and so flavourful. The portions are massive and prices are so cheap. Definitely recommend coming here.

Great place to get gluten free chicken, scalloped potatoes and salad for a quick meal. Just have to remember to get there early as he usually sells out of the potatoes first.

The best charcoal chicken I have ever had. Juicy, taste and big portions. Real charcoal chicken and not boiled. Highly recommended!

Bloke is a legend, large portions with reasonable pricing. Best lamb around. Knocks spots off the lads up centre road with there salt fest.

This place is the best, best chicken but of course my favourite is still lamb.the place is so clean the the person who cooks is so nice and professional, this place is AWESOME

It's Saturday night and the streets are quiet.
We need to support these guys because if we don't then they won't be here.

After getting home from ordering take away I noticed the ethnic man at the counter had charged me $40 on card instead of $4. I had to go back and ask for my money in cash. I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt that it was an accident but first I went and checked my account to see if he had done the same thing two weeks prior, which I found he had over charged me $7 on a $11 order. Caught taking advantage of his trusty locals. I recommend you take your business to centre road charcoal chicken. Not much further away and better food and service.

They serve only Lilydale chicken and top quality Greek style lamb. The chips are gluten free. Cheap prices and big portions.
I saw a bad review, which recommend another shop.
Try to increase your portion sizes and quality, than maybe people will also visit your shop, rather than wasting your energy and write BS for this shop. This man has never overcharged me or any of my friends who are regulars there. He also always asked me if I wanted the receipt.

Great food, chicken and lamb are perfectly cooked. The chips are nice and crispy. Very good prices and the portions are generous. Best charcoal chicken place in the area by far.

Since this has been under "new management" for the past couple of months the food quality is the same but the owner will overcharge you on purpose, hoping you don't realise it has happened multiple times. Untrustworthy

Since a year this place is taken over by a Greek cook, The Chicken is frseh Lilydale chicken, always perfectly cooked. Not half cooked like other places where you see blood or red meat. They got high quality gluten free chips. The prices are reasonable and the portions are old school, large! The only bad thing about this place is that I put 10 kilo on weight.

We popped in to grab dinner as we could not be bothered to cook LOL. We bought a quarter chicken and another quarter chicken with chips. The chicken was yummy and the chips were freshly deep fried for us.

Old school servings.keep that in mind because we ordered way to much because we thought the pricing was too cheap. But nope got everything for great quality and the best price in this suburb. Well done guys!

Best chips in all of the south east! Prove me wrong. Great fresh chicken and decent salad bar. Ull think of this place everytime you want charcoal chicken from now on. Get around it.
