CDMX Brunswick East reviews
24 Tastes good, would have loved if pulled pork was also available on the menu. $10 happy hour Margarita is a good deal, I think it ended at 7 pm when we were there on a Wednesday. Overall $60 for two taco servings and 2 margaritas.soft Tortillas a bit crunchy for some reason, probably it’s been prepared in batches before orders come in.
Good service
Not Bad at all, Drinks are very expensive and the neon sign inside is illuminating so to speak
(all tacos come with 3 per serve)
birria tacos
- sooo yummy and i love how it’s not as oily as some other places
- the consume was really good and its a great dipping ‘sauce’
- the beef though could have more flavour? I felt like i was dunking my tacos too much into the consume for some extra flavour
- $23,8.5/10
al pastor tacos
- really enjoyed this pork tacolike there was so much more flavour here compared to the birria taco
- loved the addition of the pineapples too
- $21,9/10
pescado tacos
- the fish was fried well and it was crispy and not too dry
- loved the coleslaw that came with it
- $21,9/10
papas fritas
- standard french fries
- loved the seasoning on it though although more sesaosning please!
- $7,8/10
overall, really nice taco place situated away from the city!
Limited menu - tacos clearly the highlight and authentic.
Table digital order and quite stark interior (blue/neon) limited atmosphere.
But will still be back for the chips/dips and Birria tacos.
Purchased from this restaurant on a Saturday at 5.30pm, walked in to purchase for takeaway.
QR code based ordering so very impersonal experience for takeaway - I wanted to ask for recommendations but there were no staff at the counter. Efficient way of ordering though I guess. The staff I did interact with briefly seemed very friendly.
Food took a while to come out, around 24 minutes, understandable as it was a Saturday. The corn chips and fries were excellent, would recommend. Tacos were tasty but they had very minimal toppings. This very well may be the traditional taco but I like my tacos loaded with interesting flavour combinations. The Birria taco sauce was great though. Tacos themselves are better at Fonda but that is a personal opinion. Will visit again for dine in to try other menu items.
This place has all the ambience of a public toilet. The lighting is awful. If you're sitting near the sign good luck.
Perfect authentic Mexican tacos, tostada, quesadilla, seasoned chips.
Great horchata.
Very clean.
The seats are metal, and there could be more mexican artwork to add to the white interior.
Best Mexican food I have ever had, we’ve been here twice now and not disappointed in any way. And to top it off their staff are exceptional! We had Kaizz serve us and he made our meal there absolutely amazing. He was attentive to us and all of the patrons, and had such a lovely energy. Best service I’ve had in a long time! Hope to see him promoted some time, I’ll definitely be back for some more amazing food and service!
Probably one of the best birria tacos ($23) I've tried in Melbourne and churros ($10). The thing I have found with birria tacos is that they can be quite bland. The consomme for birria was flavoursome and not overly salty. The beef was tender and moist. We also tried the Al pastor tacos ($21) were also very good, the pork meat had a nice charred smokey flavour. The churros were nice and thick, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. I was quite surprised how good these were.
Service was friendly.
Overall a great taco night and would recommend a visit
The al pastor is not just the best taco in Melbourne but possibly the best thing you can eat in the city
Loved the staff, the attention to detail, the atmosphere and of course the food! Jessi and Melany really took good care of my friends and I. Definitely will come back for some more Al Pastor taquitos.
35 minutes to get a plate of tacos only after we asked for them. Tacos were delish but it shouldn’t take that long at a place that only serves tacos.
Amazing margarita and delicious pastor tacos! Kaizz and Jessica did an incredible job at ensuring I was fed, watered and happy! Top service:)
Authentic Birria tacos, just fantastic. Their other styles are great too specifically Carne Asada and Fish.
I and my partner celebrated our anniversary tonight at the brand new restaurant - Taqueria. We ordered different kinds of Taco with braised beef & pork. The portions were mouthful, generous amount. The meat was so juicy, tender. We enjoyed them too much to remember to take photos of them. We would say it’s the best taco restaurant and we are so glad we live close by so we can definitely come over more often. All staffs are very professional & friendly. At the end, we were invited with two traditional shots which were so yummy. It’s right time to cheer on our anniversary. Thank you so much
Went here as it’s a very hyped up place. The staff were absolutely lovely. The chips were good too but the birria tacos were very under whelming. The taco shell was soaked in oil, the slow cooker beef was bland and flavourless as well as the rest of the fillings. Very disappointing as I was really excited to try.
Great place for a Tacos, good vibes, staff are fantastic, kaizz especially goes above & beyond when it comes to service.
Ill be back soon
We tried this place out on a Wednesday night, must recommend to try it, the tacos were the best I ever had, ordering scanning a QR code but the staff was very friendly. The ambiance is pretty cool. If you’re in the area and want to try some good tacos definitely stop by.
I'd describe it as okay. The tacos are fine, though a bit pricey for what you get. It's very sterile, not a place you want to spend a long time at I don't think.
QR system didn't work as others have mentioned.
Edit: Wen't to Los Hermanos - it was way better. Food was better and more reasonably priced. Drinks were cheaper. And it had atmosphere. Not as big as CDMX though so be sure to book.
Great food and flavours, and friendly service. Decent portion size and good price point. Will definitely be back!
