Caterina's Restaurant feels like being in a beautiful bubble. It's magical. So many little details. We loved our lunch at Caterina's today and I would recommend this place to everyone I know. We tried different wines by the glass and they all where incredibly good. The manager Elena recommended matching wines with what we ordered. Grazie Caterina and staff for today

A Melbourne institution. The food is exceptional, the setting intimate and beautiful and the service.well it's called hospitality for a reason. Caterina is a true hostess and Elena is absolutely fabulous and an integral part of the team. The restaurant has become a new favourite place and regular lunch spot. I can't wait to continue coming back again and again.

In the 40 years or so in dining out, both here and across the world, especially Italy, its rare these days that I experience the exceptional.
I live in Brisbane and I visit my daughter and my grandkids as frequently as I can. This time its been 12 months hanks to Covit19. Anyway when I do come down we always try to find somewhere nice to dine. This time with daughter, husband and granddaughter they took me to Caterina's.
Besides the fact my first impression was walking into an authentic Italian trattoria (a fine dining one) when it came to food and service I was blown away. It is soo rare for me these days to be truly impressed by a single dish, let alone an entire meal. Well done Caterina, love your passion your art around the restaurant and the time you shared with us as your guests. Rest assured that I will be back.

P. S.the Baccala Montecato (cod fish spread, entrée) simply to die for. Then again it might be an acquired taste.

It was with some elation that I noted the reopening of this gourmand's delight after the Covid19 Lockdown in Melbourne. The food and selection was as mouthwatering as before, nothing was left wanting in terms of superb service and wine. A devotee for three years, I have taken great pleasure in booking a private function for a Milestone celebration and look forward to introducing my guests and interstate attendees to the fine quality and delicious menu that only Caterina and her talented team, including Chef Marcello can offer. Welcome Back Caterina - long may you reign as the Queen of fine Italian Dining.

Lovely service and hospitality. Good flexibility with making me beverages which weren't on the menu and also really refreshing Italian food which is quite different from most Italian restaurants in Australia.

I am a child of Italian heritage and have eaten good, knowing great food my whole entire life. Rarely do we go to Italian restaurants for a bite as we feel there is no need to but there is one exception, Caterina's Cucina. Words cannot begin to describe the ITALIAN food there, authentic is a start but tasty and delicate can suggest the feeling. This is a no nonsense establishment with a dedication in giving the diner a REAL Italian food experience in Melbourne. Thank you for this this wonderful Cucina.

Good meal soured by poor service. We had a booking fora group of 12. We were informed a no-show fee of $50 per person, which was perfectly understandable, but were assured 1 or 2 dropouts would be fine. As it turmed out, 1 person didn't show (as happens). Despite spending a substantial amount ($600+), $50 was nonetheless added to the bill. Queried the amount, but would not budge. Insult to injury, was then charged a fee to pay by card. Disappointing end to a nice lunch (even if a bit overpriced).

The best Italian place in the whole of Australia complimented by a wonderful and very professional staff. I will be back here as soon as can.

Ordered the Ravioli Di Spinaci Ricotta. Quite an expensive lunch. I found it quite salty as well, maybe that's just my palette.
