Best seafood in the area! Honestly this is a family run business and they are so friendly and amazing fresh fish! Try the grilled snapper it is amazing And so fresh for o let $8.90!

I like this place and the food. This one time I waited up to 40 minutes. Could have been a busy period.

Don't try going there before 12.30pm, or later, as the guy there can't get his act together before then! They need to change the hours on this site and on their door so people are not stuck waiting out the front wondering why the shop is not open.

The best place for deep fried fish, yes, ONLY the fish! The chips, no! And the staff are very friendly but it takes a little bit longer to wait.

Usually my favourite fish and chip shop in Melbourne! Today I ordered some chips and asked for extra crispy. They weren't crispy and were soooo dry inside. Quite unpleasant to eat.
I gave 4 stars cos usually this place is fantastic. Friendly staff and old school feel

Hands down my favourite fish and chip shop in Melbourne, actually anywhere. Chips are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Love the potato cakes and flake too. Not on Uber eats but I’ll still get in the car to pick them up instead as they are worth it!

This is a real authentic aussie fish and chip shop like I remember from the 80's and 90's, but with the food hygiene and professionalism of 2021 (and without the scantly glad Chico Roll woman poster on the wall).
The fish is really fresh, the minimum chips is actually a decent size not tinny over priced cup worth, and nothing is too oily or over done in old batter.
Don't get me wrong I still like a fancy Grilled type burger every now and then, but this like proper true blue fish and chips.
On Friday and Saturday night (and especially good Friday) it can be busy so order ahead, be patient, and you won't be disappointed.

Bloody good fish and chips. Fish is fresh and not pre battered or taken out of the freezer. Only reason for 4 stars is they can be a bit slow even when quiet. Chips nice too. Layla is very nice too and cooks the fish and chips nicely.

Best fish and chips in the area by a mile. All the food is very fresh and great value for money. Food can take a while to come out when they are busy but that's not a real problem.

Order messed up, way to much salt, over cooked and burger was stone cold because they cant time there orders anymore.

Great fish n chips. Fresh and crispy chips - the wonderful golden ones we all love, not the wilted pale white limpdix you get at so many other places.

The fish is always moist and battered with a perfect layer of batter which isn't just a big puffy cloud of fatty mess.

Can't go past this place for some fresh fast fish n chips.

Not good enough! Waited an hour and 15 mins. For a flake and two potato cakes! This place needs to get their organisational skills together and when I did get my food flake was poor potato cakes over fried and shriveled! And Fish it was riddled with what look like mercury silver mercury sorry but I will not be back ever!

Service was average and after a 50 minute wait for food, it could not have been more disappointing. The fish was almost inedible and certainly not fresh. I will not be returning

Seafood absolutely next level. Huge flake, crunchy chips and potato cakes, and a range of seafood to die for. Do your mouth a flavor. The only problem you'll have after being here is anywhere else is second best. I drive from Port Melbourne to eat here. Deluxe. Oh, and the service is great too. Win-win!

The best grilled fish we ever had, thank you so much! The owner recommended a snapper as we wanted it gluten free, the fish was fresh, tender, and huge, too. Very big and tasty salad. Recommend to everyone, great taste and value.

The best grilled fish around.this fish and chip shop is located in and area surrounded by "fancy" chain fish and chip shops like hunky dory, Tommy tuckers etc but they dont compare to the quality that Carlisle seafood produces and at a great price. The grilled flake is 10/10 and when I order it they chucked a couple of chips in for free - great service, quality and price:)

I'm only rating the place a couple of star from the lack of team work that was going on in the kitchen tonight when they where under the pump which made my food come out late and wrong! And watching the blonde girl behind the counter just standing there folding takeaway trays instead of having the initiative to jump in and help out! But besides the lack of team work, at the end of it all my fish was very yummy deep fried instead of it being grilled which I ordered.
