Canterbury International Hotel

What a pleasant surprise to find this hidden gem. Completely unexpected to find such a great quality hotel in the suburban area of Melbourne. The beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was brand new. The serenity made for a peaceful stay. The food was exceptional. The service was top notch. We will be back again for another business conference. Thanks team!

Came here as part of an Endotta Spa experience.
Very accommodating - we booked lunch by the pool but the weather was a bit cool. Upon request, they quickly made up a table for us inside.
Not a huge menu (that can make choosing easier) good food with great service.

This is such a nice place to relax after a hard days work. Going down to the bar for a pre dinner drink, then intonthe restaurant for a five star meal. Great staff and the place just has a good vibe.

Matthew served our table with excellence & friendless, catering to our every need. Hats off to the kitchen Staff our meals were flawless.

We recently had a 1 day offsite Leadership and Board strategy day which was held at the Canterbury International, although most of the conference rooms were all being used by other groups, our event was really effective, we had plenty of uninterrupted space to work in with every thing ready to go in the morning.
The location was easy to get to including our interstate guests an easy commute and free parking.
A highlight was an amazing lunch in the open air outside gave us some fresh air and reinvigorated all for the afternoon session.

I loved the atmosphere of this place. We hosted a workshop here as well as had dinner. Friendly service. I’ll be back, for sure.

Very good environment, we booked a room for a special function, they provided sandwiches, fruits juice and soft drinks, plenty parkings

We stayed in the 2 storey Appartment was absolutely beautiful the staff were amazing. Will highly recommend and definitely stay again

I booked a room for 3 people, it was catered for two only. The hotel also required me to pay $100 at checkin and then i was informed that I would pay the remainder on check out. On checkout i was informed that i then had to pay the full amount on top of the 100 and that the 100 was a holding deposit that would be refunded. I have tried to contact this hotel and I am just given the run around. They have still not refunded my money.

Reasonably priced, rooms were clean comfortable and well appointed. Bathroom products were good enough to mention in a review. The most impressive feature of this hotel were the staff. The were warm.welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back

On each of our visits the staff have been exceptional and keen to please. While a little older style it has character and charm.

Extremely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The receptionist NEDA was extremely poor with handling our complaints, argumentative, and even rang my mobile# in the morning just to ask if we were gonna check out as there was someone else who's booked our room. HOW TERRIBLE. Even her manager Eloura was extremely rude, when we made an honest opinion about how Neda should be mindful dealing with clients, she immediately burst out saying "is that a threat? If it is we will be taking action against you. " And we stood there in shock like is this a manager? Bragging a 4.5 star hotel with this kind of people running the hotel. On top of that, there was a chocolate bar in the fridge that we ate and just realised after it was expired (we have photos of it). I wouldn't recommend this hotel with this kind of people running it. 1/10 total experience.

I was very disappointed with the overnight MANAGER. He LIED, STOLE, and called the police to EVICT me. The property have my passport in their possession and will not return it. I had to file a police report to obtain a new passport as I am travelling overseas in January. I was very disgusted I was evicted after my weeks accomodation was made in full. The hotel are currently holding my $200 bond and will not return my emails or calls. Some staff were exceptional and should be commended for their level of professionalism. Fantastic venue, friendly helpful and attentive staff! We had an event here and nothing was to much trouble, communication was on point and our event was a complete success! We stayed in a beautiful suite and were spoilt with champaign and strawberries, breakfast in the morning was delicious and the food at the actual event was spectacular!
We can not thank Sara and the entire team that were involved in our event enough for looking after us and making us and our guests feel very special all night! We look forward to more dealings with the Canterbury Hotel! #veryhappycustomers
