Camberwell Road Medical Practice

God help you if you have a simple query - such as whether they have your name on file. Vicki (Vicky?) was incredibly rude, terse and unprofessional on the phone. Previously, the clinic that existed where Camberwell Road Medical Centre is now, was bulk-billing. Obviously I didn't realise it had changed ownership and therefore was no longer bulk-billing, but the receptionist sure did sarcastically inform me this was not the case any longer.
Save your judgement, not all of us can afford $80-100 for a simple consultation.
Perhaps the care here is exceptional, but the front-line staff need updated training on how to interact with the general public. Absolutely abysmal.

Excellent doctor - very happy with him - but each time I go I stand there being completely ignored by the reception staff even when there are 3 of them and I am the only one waiting until one of them 'deigns' to assist me. I am always happy to wait when required and I know they are busy but some little acknowledgement that I exist would be nice. It's just good customer service.

Booking confirmed, attended the Practice and there was no booking even though confirmed only 3 hours earlier. Have been a patient of Dr Clark's for over 25 years and his staff certainly let him, and me, down.

The doctors and staff at the camberwell road medical clinic are excellent professionals and deliver compassionate and quality care. I've been going here since they opened and wouldnt go see another doctor unless I was overseas and unable to get to the clinic.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now after moving to the area from the city. They’ve always been good at getting me seen on the same day. Had a few referrals for tests etc and was all done quickly. Doctors and staff are all very nice too!

Went to this practice as couldnt get into my regular gp. I booked a long consultation because i was a new patient. Firstly my appointmeny was an hr late. I Needed urgent medication due to having scripts stolen from my car after a break in and upcoming overseas trip. Doctor very unhelpful and reluctant to provide any scripts at all for regular medication and wouldn’t provide an additional script. Very rushed and felt pushed out the door mid conversation. I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Dr Deon Smith is a very knowledgeable GP, very professional and has an excellent patient rapport

Maurice Gilovitz is the most amazing GP. Maurice shows great concern for his patients to ensure their best health. The best GP with formidable bed side manner.

Great place. I've been seeing Dr Christine Walker for yonks - so professional, friendly, and timely. (I've heard Dr Julie Smith is very good too.)

Last week went to get my 4 yrs old son checked. First the issue with confirmation of appointment and secondly the doctor was too quick to examine my son and didn't even check his temperature. In and out of the room. It's just too greedy. Will never come again.

Staff there were inpatient when we asked question. They also input wrong personal information of our son.

Dr Smith was helpful to ask one of the nurse to update the immunization record of our son in the medicare system, the nurse in front of the Dr said she would help but she didnt call us or did anything. A week later we went to ask about the status of the record she asked us to call the hotline.

The worst medical centre we have gone so far and the unprofessional services there are not acceptable.

Reception staff very unhelpful, unapprochable, judgemental interested in payment only. Poor communication between Doctors. Constantly short staffed, avoid going there if you can find an alternative.

My local. Never had any problems here. Staff on reception aren't particularly welcoming or friendly to anyone but I guess they aren't that important.
Have seen three doctors here (when my regular one hasn't been on
duty) and always received the best service.

Kept me waiting for 1.5 hours. Finally asked the very unhelpful, unfriendly reception staff what the problem was and they said 'oh haven't you gone in yet'! I was sitting in the reception area in their view the entire time. Bad practice. Looking for new GP and would never recommend this practice.

Bulk billed for their after hour service. Went there to give it a go due to proximity. Staffs were ok but disappointed with the Chinese-man doctor, he had difficulties understanding you and his own previous prescription (to the point of denying it until he realized he did prescribed it and not a single apology was given). The wait could get very long even though you had appointments.
