Camberwell Road Medical Practice

If I could give this medical centre 0 stars I would: I have had the worst patient experience with Dr Jon Naggs, and I do not believe this Dr should be practicing at all. He had me on antibiotics for 4 months after he diagnosed me with a sinus infection. After months of begging him to refer me to a ENT specialist, and having a CT scan showing that I have a chronic sinus disease and deviated septum he refuses to sign any documentation relating to the surgey I require. I’m not sure how a GP thinks he’s advice overrides the evidence of medical reports and a CT scan, however I do know, i will never be stepping foot in this medical centre again.

I have just moved from another practice to Camberwell Road Medical and reckon I have hit the jackpot. Dr Lisa Newton is thorough, gentle and caring (oh and patient).
The staff are efficient and kind.

Dr. Marcus Wong is such a breath of fresh air. I've found him to be attentive, empathetic and incredibly knowledgeable across a range of medical concerns I've had about myself and my children. He's the only GP I've been to that makes me feel confident about their assessments and not consider getting a second opinion. 10/10.

Dr Marcus Wong is an amazing doctor! I have had a rough year with Covid19 and Influenza A, and he helped me through the whole thing. He was always willing to go a bit over time to make sure I was looked after and was very empathetic. I am so grateful for all his help.

Tell me they don’t recognise my MEDICAL mask exemption and then let half the patients and staff sit there with masks under their noses. Excellent example of following the science and crazy health and customer service.

I moved to this medical practice last year on a recommendation, after having a terrible experience at another local clinic. The doctor I see is very thorough, on time and I don't get rushed out the door.

Have nothing but positive experiences at this clinic, highly professional doctors and nurses, and reception staff are very helpful. I highly recommend this clinic.

Waiting areas are not clean most unpleasant experience while waiting for the Doctor,
Dead blowflys all along the window sills.

Easily one of the best in Melbourne, the doctors are beyond capable and specialise in a number of areas, many are teaching professionals ensuring not just patient care now, but in the future as well. The team always bends over backwards to help you and the reception staff are the best I've ever seen. If you are looking for a new doctor or simply a change, try these folks out, you will not regret it

Hang your head in shame! This private clinic is using the Commonwealth supplied Pfizer vaccine for commercial gain. I followed the link from the official vic state gov vaccine website to the Camberwell Road Medical Practice website where they advertised it was readily available to all new and existing customers.

When I called up their number to book a time for the Pfizer vaccine, was told they have them in stock however only available to existing customers of the clinic. When I went to the clinic in person, and argued why they are using the vaccine for commercial gain, was first told that it was company policy. The girl at reception probably realized how bad it sounded for the clinic, changed tact and then ran with they have now "run out" of the Pfizer vaccine. Absolute lies! The quicker the community gets vaccinated and reach the 70/80% threshold, the quicker we can be liberated from Dan Andrews.

If practices like Camberwell Road Medical Practice restricts the general public and only offers the Pfizer vaccine to their customers for commerical gain, then it's an utter disgrace.

This place is a real mixed bag. Some doctors are great, some are mediocre. The reception staff are helpful but appear to make mistakes regularly (e.g. Not cancelling bookings, not changing bookings, making bookings when doctors aren't available etc), which makes it difficult to receive consistent support or care.

I've only had good experiences. Sometimes I need to wait for a while, but not much longer than I have experienced at other medical practices.

Been trying to re contact for help for 3 months now but shes ignoring my calls and messages not a good place to go to very unhappy will not go back,

Great doctors, not so great receptionists, who seem annoyed by answering questions (called twice today), and also just hang up with a quick "bye" when I hadn't had a chance to say thank you and bye. Her name was Vicki/Vicky.

Staff are incredibly helpful. I was very stressed about a specific medical concerns and when talking to one of the receptionists Andrea, she made me feel at ease. Andrea provided great assistant on the phone and recommended Suzie, who was competent and caring. I highly recommend the clinic to my friends and family.

Very disappointed. My wife has been going through unbearable neck pain since July 2019. We visited Dr here 6 times for the initial investigations and medicine during that period but however that could not make any effect in the pain. Then dr suggested to have physio sessions and exercise. She has taken around 16 physio sessions and doimg all the necessary exercise. But still there is no relief. Now its been 6 months since the treatment started but still no effect. Recently when she was having much pain then dr said he does not know. No help, no medication, no further steps being advised. We cant go directly to any specialist and dr here are not providing any referral too.

We spent almost 3000 aud altogether and its been 6 month no releife. Infact the pain got increased. Many of the dr visits went useless and scheduled even if it was not required. We are helpless now. My wife is pregnent too. Now she has to go through both the pains, neck and stomach.

Fabulous welcoming clinic with friendly receptionists, as well as caring and knowledgeable doctors that take their time to help you as best they can.

Excellent service, great doctors. Seen several doctors for myself and my kids: Maurice, Gilla, Sarah, Penny, Suzy, Jacqueline, Christine.all very caring and thorough. Reception staff are also kind and efficient. Recommend to my friend’s family, who were also very happy and impressed by the service and those caring doctors. Thanks

Clean and welcoming, doctors are thorough and well versed. Everyone here knows what they're doing and you can really feel that.

Really disappointing, took my son for a check without a booking so we had to wait for around 10 minutes (which was perfectly fine), Got into the consultation room, the doctor asked my son what was the problem, so my son responded his ear was sore. The doctor checked his ears, and said You have an infection, take this antibiotics and thank you so much for coming. Not even 5 minutes of consultation, probably 3 minutes. I had to ask the doctor about checking his throat which he did not too happy. Forget about asking him about checking his chest or lungs.it would've been too much!
I am not sure if it's all about money or a concerning lack of commitment. Unfortunately we patients pay for one or the other.
So frustrating and disappointing, never going back again.
I don't want to say the doctor's name but I probably should.
