Caffe Strada

100% gluten free is a big advantage. Had breakfast with family on a Saturday morning and everything was good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Then went back about a week later on a weekday and were told kitchen not open. Then went back on a weekday again and the meal was terrible. My poached eggs were rock hard. My toast was obviously kept warm for too long, as it was rock hard. The food quality is not consistent enough for an Ivanhoe cafe.

Purchased bread on a Monday to find most of it was dry and defiantly a few days old. For the prices you’d expect fresh bread.

Only did take away, love that it's a dedicated coeliac Cafe.food, service, atmosphere is always good

GREAT 100 PERCENT GLUTEN FREE CAFE
For a city that prides itself on being culinary cosmopolitan it is amazing that you can count the totally gluten free cafes on the fingers of one hand (if you had lost a couple of fingers in a nasty accident). But inconspicuous Ivanhoe has a good one in Caffe Strada. And the good thing is that their prices have not yet gone the way of the rest of the city in a seemingly never ending, post pandemic, upward spiral.

In fact the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because, on only my second visit (I am recently diagnosed with potentially very health challenging Celiac Disease), like every other cafe in this city, apparently, they felt it necessary to arbitrarily close the kitchen at 2pm, despite being open till 4pm. And having guaranteed me on my previous visit, only a couple of days earlier, that the kitchen would definitely be open till 2.30pm on weekdays (only 2pm on Sundays).

Tried 3 baked items and found all of them bland and tasteless. Gluten free isn't an excuse to taste awful. Other items might be better however.

This has to be the best gluten free cafe around. Their bread is seriously good and their cinnamon scrolls are to die for. I travel over 30 mins just to buy their goodies. Yummy

I buy gluten-free stuff to take home. I haven't eaten there. The food is top notch. The service is competent and friendly.

Just went to Cafe Strada at 3.15. We were looking forward to some gluten free food, as we had a long drive ahead of us. We asked a girl if they were closing, she replied we close at 3.30.we ordered and were told abruptly by an other girl, we could only order take away, which was fine. After being handed a cold sausage roll from the fridge, we were told by the same girl abruptly that she had just cleaned the microwave and would not put the sausage roll in the microwave to warm it, despite it being in a paper bag.it was not yet closing time. I told her that she was rude and that wasn't good enough and she scowled at me, while the polite girl, who showed us in looked embarrassed.if it wasn't for the fact we had already paid for the food, we would have left it there and walked out.please teach your employees a smile and being polite is free.

This is my go-to cafe when I go to the office! The coffee is amazing and I’m obsessed with the chicken avo pesto sandwich.

All GF menu and some also DF. Excellent. Their take home muffins are amazing toasted with jam

Caffe Strada produce the most delicious gluten free turkish rolls and english muffins. These have become pantry staples for me! I visit Wholefood Merchants in Ferntree Gully each week just to buy your products. Thank you!

Coeliacs totally delightful EVERYTHING gluten free Cafe In Ivanhoe Victoria. So much choice. Place was packed eating in and non stop take away. I came home with 4 chocolate eclairs. Also down the street is Theo's Fish Bar also the best gluten free fish and chips in Victoria. Get to Ivanhoe now

Best gf bread I’ve tasted yet. So impressed with wonderful gf food, helpful staff and fast service. Food is so good even non gf enjoyed the food. Couldn’t resist cakes to go too. Thanks Strada.

Tasty food. Everything is gluten free. Menu is pretty standard. Lots of gluten free pastries available.

Everything is gluten free! Sasha served me and did an awesome job! Sasha made sure my additional food intolerances were catered to and everything went smoothly. Overall really happy to have come here.

This place is truly one of the hidden gems of Ivanhoe. Amazing food, charming staff and quirky little restaurant full of personality and delicious things to eat.

I don't know why other people have cottoned on to GF places but get in there while you can.

Cafe Strada is wonderful. The food is great and the staff are very helpful and friendly even when we have special requests. I would give it 10 stars is I could.

Horrible.
The manager asked her waitress to kick me out because i 'wasn't ordering food with my drink. ' I hadn't finished my drink yet which also had to be remade because they forgot an ingredient.
