Cafe La Hoot

By far the best muffin I've had in Australia. A sure hit, can't go wrong with raspberries and white chocolate. It was still warm from the oven, absolutely delicious.

Driving back from 12 Apostles I was looking for a place for a break and a coffee. I noticed a cafe with quite a few people outside so thought I would try it out.
I can highly recommend this tiny place, great friendly staff, good coffee and the best raspberry and white muffin I've had in a long time. It's a tiny place (no where to sit inside) but it was very pleasant sitting outside.

Always stop there on the way to Melbourne the girls are always lovely and the coffee is sensational.

Great coffee products and offers, great food. I've been stopping here regularly on road trips over 3 years, always consistent great service.

This place is a gem! It is in an excellent setting for weary travellers. My words here will fail to describe all that Cafe La Hoot and it's immediate surroundings have to offer. Do not pass through Winchelsea, without doing yourself a favour and enjoying a stop at Cafe La Hoot!

Unusual setup and location. Nice coffee next to pleasant views of the river. I didn't see any crackheads.

Only one vegan option for lunch, but it was very tasty. A lentil burger, with avocado and fresh salad in a toasted cuabiatta roll.

Always a pleasure eating there. The staff are friendly and courteous. Highly recommended whenever you need a boost in you travels.

If you have kids it's perfect. Across the road from the playground. Can watch it from outdoor area. Cool layout inside with house retro fitted with cafe tables. Simple tasty menu.

Cute place. We got there and there was a bit of a line. Tiny cafe to get into but plenty of outside seating. Well worth the wait and looking forward to our next trip past Cafe La Hoot so we can get one of their amazing muffins. Best muffin we have ever had yummy raspberry and white chocolate. Even now we discuss a 90min drive to go back and get one

It’s a very lovely place. Staff is very friendly and food is yummy. We had our lunch here on the way to Melbourne. It’s a very lovely stop over and kids were enjoying a play in the park too. A lot of owl statuses in the cafe, very cute! Thanks for the enjoyable meal!

Cute little coffee shop right off the highway to Great Ocean Road. Loved the veggie toasty, vanilla pie and cafe lattes. The staff was very nice and I loved the soothing music too that they were playing.

A nice cafe with friendly staff. Quality food and good coffee. Staffs are a bit slow specially during the rush hour. The parking is easy and accessible. A good public toilet. Good playground for kids. We had a quick stop on our way to Melbourne.

Quaint local cafe serving fresh and delicious breakfast and lunch. Friendly staff and I love the idea of sitting outside in the sun on a beautiful Sunday morning!

Latte, raspberry muffin, and a hedgehog. All these were very nice. Good pitstop, great ambiance, with large, relatively clean public toilets right nearby. I might start stopping here more often during my trips on the highway!

Amazing staff! The spinach fetta pastie was absolutely amazing with the relish.and banana shake is a must try!
