Ca De Vin reviews
66Excellent CBD cafe of a slightly high end variety. Pretty great flat pizzas with upscale fancyish toppings. Excellent pasta options. Always brilliant service which is doubley commendable as the cafe is literally a walk way alley so it must be a nightmare for the wait staff. Observable, open kitchen area which is always a plus. Easily the classiest cafe in the immeasurable CBD area.
Usually good food and customer service. I have been here 3 or 4 times. However, the quality of the steak meal I had during my last visit was disappointing - the steak was quite tough and sinewy and the crisp kale and carrots way overcooked. Thank goodness for the beautiful wine and fresh crisp salad. I will stick to pasta or risotto next time.
I was here about 8 months ago and it was great, however I went here last week and it wasn’t good. The customer service was poor and also we ordered Garlic bread that was so bad and it was completely change as I had before. Pizza was still good but I had pasta and it wasn’t really good.
Also, I just ask one of the staff that is the manager of here changed and they just spoke to me so rude. Here was my fav restaurant but I never come back!
Possiblely one of the worst experiences ever the whole restaurant needs a steam clean and the staff member serving us was extremely rude my vegan eggplant pasta was terrible so much oil and salt could hardly taste it the waitress snobbed me off a few times the person whom I was with ordered seafood pizza (I did not have any) but the base was to thin and it was cold and there was a fly on it the bill come to about $97 after a few drinks aswell totally terrible service not coming back
Walked in on a Tuesday around 3 in the afternoon and had horrible service!
Staff chatting behind the bar, didn’t greet us, we sat ourselves. Had walk up to the counter to ask one of the staff to give us menus. Then waited for about 15 minutes and had to walk back to order myself because nobody came over to the table. Food was okay. Service time was over 25 minutes. Chicken was BROWN? Had to walk back up to the counter to ask for our food to be packed up TWICE. Yikes.
A hidden gem. This funky place is unknown to even some locals as it's discretely tucked away. You'll be well surprised when you do walk in to what appears to be a little lane way as it is a fully decked out Cafe within.
There's a good list of menu items, and you'd almost feel like you're in another country due to the ambience.
Great if you want to go just for a coffee, or a meal, or just a dessert.
I'd give the place 4.5 stars if I could, and I'd give 5 stars if all of the staff were as friendly as the staff who appear to be the managers.
Though I've only worked in the city for just over a year now, I feel great when I introduce this little treasure to some long time locals as it makes them assume I know all the hip places.
Well worth a visit.
