Byblos Bar & Restaurant

Definitely better than I expected. Such a unique cuisine and ambience, that I quite enjoyed.

The barramundi dish we ordered was quite flavourless, and overcooked which left a nasty burnt taste in the mouth.

But the beef shawarma was to die for and outweighed that dish completely. Every element was so tasty, and the portion was perfect for my partner who eats A LOT. Beautiful sauce comes with it (wish we could’ve had even more!)

Would go back for that alone, it’s amazing.

Bit dark inside in terms of lighting which made me a little tired, but not too fussed about that. Service was a bit slow, but it was busy so that’s understandable.

Will be returning for that delish shawarma!

For large groups, you can’t go past the feed me option, the fish and orca were my standouts! Lamb and garlic dip too!

Food was really good! Especially the chicken shawarma.
All they need to work on is their soft drinks, it tasted too sweet and less carbonated.

I was visiting Melbourne & we visited Byblos to have some to eat. It was a very hot day & I enjoy a local cold suggested by the staff together with the menu to follow. I I was impressed with the speed, service & tasty food. I definitely will visit again when in Melbourne again.

Went here for new years eve with 14 of our family. 6 people had food poisoning thereafter. No other food from anyone else was consumed. Also the set menu for NYE was very average. We went to this place for their grilled meat.and guess what, it wasn't part of the set menu. Not worth $69 per head.

This restaurant is NOT ENVIRONMENTLY-FRIENDLY due to cause i ordered food as a family deal and there were some leftovers food and we wanted it to take it home and this gentlemen said you cannot take the food home due to their policy and either you can destroy it or eat the food. Besides the price for the food was not worth for value.

Excellent food, great service and not too expensive.
This place ticks the boxes. The atmosphere matches the food, whether inside or outside by the river.
Highly recommended for either small, intimate outings or larger groups.

Great food. Traditional Lebanese. Reasonably priced. Service was disappointing. Waitress took my unfinished meal away whilst I turned away talking to someone. Also was annoyed that they wouldn't split the bill between 2 cards even though we were a large group and had spent alot of money there. Had to go find an ATM to get some cash. Wont be coming back
