Buza Chicken reviews
50 This Korean fried chicken is so crispy you can HEAR it a mile away!
It's a vibey restaurant out of a kdrama with good fried chicken and korean stews! The original chicken is coated in a thin crispy layer of batter and the chicken is juicy and delicious!
We also got a bulgogi stew - the beef was flavourful and tender, and the stew was full of vegetables and rice cakes, perfect for sharing! Warms stews hit different, especially on a rainy day!
The kimchi pancake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Paired with the dipping sauce it matches the chicken really well!
We also had soju to go with the meal! It's the perfect way to tie in the flavours and unwind after a long day of work or school!
Buza Chicken has been in Melbourne for a LONG time, and it's a classic place that a lot of chicken lovers are fond of. If you haven't tried it yet, go. Now.
The chicken (poultry) is halal certified, but pork and alcohol are also served on premises. Please do be mindful depending on your dietary requirements!
The owner is always friendly so I go there often, but as the review below says, the Korean staff is scary.
The fried cauliflower (?) with soy sauce is so delicious that I go there once a week, no joke.
The chicken smells too much. I ate half and half, but the fried food is not even spicy and has no seasoning.
Ordered some takeaway from this spot when we were feeling pekish but couldn't be bothered to go out. The soy chicken was just amazing. I wanted more but wasn't allowed. Very good experience on the food, unable to rate the venue.
Really love this Korean restaurant, probably one of the best Korean fried chicken places. They have Soy Smoked chicken which is delicious. Other dishes are good too. This time the chicken feet is not tender enough, a bit chewy.
The quality of the chicken has dropped significantly. This place was once the go to place for Korean chicken. You're better off going to to Nene Chicken or Gami Chicken, or SamSam if you're in the area for your Korean chicken fix.
We couldn’t finish what we ordered, chicken tasted like fish, also chips were color yellow with not tasted at all and you could taste the oil in there.
If you complaint about their boned fried chicken you genuinely don’t know what real Korean Fried chicken is. Go boned, not the stupid boneless wherever you go. Boneless chicken should be illegal
Me and my partner have been probably 10 different kfc places across the country and this one is beyond the best. We smashed 1/2 original fries chicken and 1/2 sweet spicy in 15mins. I guess sweet&spicy sauce could’ve been better but crispness & freshness of chicken itself is just so good. 100% recommend.
I just had one of the longest waiting time for the most average meal ever. I ordered some Bone Chicken Half (corrected from chicken wings) with chips, and it took an hour for them to be delivered. Othter people were complaining too. The food was insanely average and not worth it. Never coming again.
The best I have so for, really proper Korean taste. The sauce is so special, highly recommend the smoked soy and the spring onion fried chicken. First Korean fried chicken I have had with sauce can be stay so crispy no matter how long the food come out. And the kimchi tofu and bulgogi stew are my favorite. Definitely recommend this place for Korean food.
The worst restaurant to pick up food from as a delivery driver. The staff, especially an older lady at the counter, are rude and obnoxious and will snap at you and force you fo wait outside the moment you show them an order. Wait times at best are also 15-20 minutes every time I've picked an order at this place. If your order takes an unusually long time and you enter the restaurant and ask the staff to check on it they will interrrupt you and push you to whoever is at the counter. Here's tip, show some respect to your drivers and quit shooing them like they have the bubonic plague.
Best korean fried chicken in melb.been coming to this restaurant for years to dine in and take away.food is always perfect and it gets crowded all the time.usually a small wait but it's worth it in the end.staff are very friendly and nice.
First visit since store manager has changed.
The taste has been changed, especially the batter had old oil and strange smell from chicken. That smell is similar when the chicken is not fresh.
The mild chilly chicken sauce taste also different from before. The sauce is not combined well.
The batter is not not crispy.
While waiting to pick up my take away, I regretted to sit on the table behind the counter. The table surface was sticky and greasy.
It was just 5.30 just after the open but the inside air smells with strong fried oil.
First time trying this place out. It is absolutely stunning so many options and variety to pick from. The food quality is better than most similar Korean Fried Chicken place I have been to. Great place to hang with a group of friends and most importantly driiiink booze The BongBong cocktail is my personal favourite. Strongly recommend Excellent customer service, definitely coming back soon.
Nice korean restaurant, they got the best seafood pancake, and their fried chicken was crispy and juicy, the rice cake and the soup were very nice as well, everything's very good. Will definitely come back.
Food was okay but a bit overpriced. Chicken was crispy but lacked flavour. Our food arrived at all different times as well. Service was spotty and the restaurant and bathrooms were not very clean - see the interesting sign they stuck up in the bathroom!
Had dinner in the restaurant chicken was crispy but tasted bad pickle was not cruch at all and also tasted bad rice cake tasted powder selling from the grocery ambiance was good but too tight dishwasher guy was keep dropping stuff that everyone in the hall could hear it staffs was friendly
If you are looking for a place to drink you can have a try but if you are looking for a dinner with a good meal there is many other places to go
We waited for our food for 45 minutes. They brought a burnt kimchi pancake, so we asked them to make it again. Also, we order a half/half boneless and with bones wings, but they brought all of them boneless.
I'm really sad to give Buza 3 stars. They had been the best Korean fried chicken place in Melbourne that I would recommend to anyone I know. But sadly the chicken quality has been dropping a lot lately, the lastest two times I visited, the chicken was not crunchy as usual, plus the chicken meat wasn't a good part of the chicken (I guess they used chicken breast or thigh for the boneless before), but then became a lot of fat and red colour, no white meat etc. So my stars was 5 but now dropped to 3. Hopefully they will improve the quality in the near future, I really miss the standard they used to have: (
