Before enrolling in this course I asked what would happen if there were classes I couldn't attend due to work commitments, I was told it was not an issue as the classes would be online. Once I started the course I was told we would have a minimum attendance requirement as the course was government subsidised.
First week in, online learning material had mistakes in it, a few weeks down the track the teacher works out we have been completing the fast track course and that we need to slow down. Six weeks in we also needed to chase up the hard copy documents that we were suppose to receive after signing up.
The course was started on module 5 as they start it from whatever date you sign up instead of from the beginning and the some of the assignments questions require information from earlier units.
When speaking to withdraw I asked for a refund and said that would definitely not happen after telling them all of the above.
I have been put off completing the Diploma and would recommend any other training provider as they are completely unorganized and only their for your money. Any if not all of the positive reviews must be fakes.
If this is Simonds Homes standards, I would avoid them at all costs.

Wouldn't recommend this course to anyone. Teachers are not helpful, the assignments barely make any sense, tech support is useless and the whole structure of the course I have found is clunky and dis-organized. Very disappointing and regret paying for this.

Did my diploma with them. Communication was terrible, classes were incredibly boring. Marking takes forever, with zero communication when trying to get answers or an update on when things will be marked.
Would not recommend to anyone.

Very supportive teachers with a wealth of knowledge and experience in building and construction. Even when I couldn't attend online class from a quiet place, they let me attend while on the bus or train. Thank you BAA. I look forward to my next course in Carpentry.

Teachers are great, especially Dave Caruana, who fortunately became our 2nd teacher just a month after commencing the course.

Unfortunately Dave has been appointed to another class, which would have made it 3 different teachers in under 3 months.

Have tried for over a week to find out why there is such a high rotation in teachers, in such a short amount of time, which I can’t get an answer because the people working in the office aren’t capable of chasing up my query or bother to call me back, like they always say they do.

Great teachers, basket case of an office.

Wanted to know what course suited my business, was presented with a number of options all of which were of great value to me personally and financially, highly recommend!

Tansel the trainer really cares about the students. Lots of support for students while studying, and good learning modules.

It's just a big name with nothing inside as per my experience with 2 tutors. Have never seen anything worse like this. They won't make one even closer to admin of a Builder. Strongly recommend to find someone better atleast not here. They have taken it for granted. Not sure how they have got this big name.

I done Cert ll plant operations with Davi bordigan at rockbankand was amazing great work site and David was amazing to learn from

I completed a diploma in building around 3 months ago. I still have not received my certificate, I had to email and call so many times just to get them to mark my assignments. Very disappointing, poor service and not a professional organisation.

Studying Cert 4 plumbing at the moment. The information we are studying will only give us the Cert 4 but will not help us pass the VBA exam.

The teacher is good, but the tafe as a whole is terrible with poor communication and outdated assessments from 20 years ago.

Probably the worst organisation I've ever dealt with, absolutely do not respond to emails. The teachers are completely useless, most aren't even qualified in the industry they're teaching, if you can call flicking through slides on the projector teaching. Clearly just grabbing as much government funding as possible.

Things Builders Academy do:
- Ignore calls
- Ignore emails
- Provide substandard teachers
- Tell you the complete wrong address for classes
- Ignore calls when you're at the complete wrong address for class
- Respond to bad reviews pretending they want to help
- Pay for fake reviews

Things Builders Academy do not do:
- Communicate
- Respond faster than 6 months
- Help students get qualified
- Provide adequate training

Do not study with this company.

I'm currently doing plumbing cert4, I found my teacher to be good but the course work lacking. What we learn in class is not what you need to know to pass your VBA exam. You will get a cert4 in plumbing at the end of it but don't expect it to help you pass your licencing plumbing exams at the VBA.

Initially the sign up process was a little bit of a hiccup. However, it has been nothing but an amazing experience since I started my first class at Builders Academy. Tansel is an absolute amazing trainer and mentor. I have nothing but positive things to say. His knowledge and experience within the construction industry is top level. Not only is he super patient with everyone in class with the bombardment of questions he gets, he is also very supportive and motivating.

I have completed many courses and dealt with many trainers, teachers, professors etc in my time and I can confidently say Tansel is the best one out of them all.

Thank you for everything so far Tansel. Look forward to seeing you in class for the remainder of the course.

Very poor service been trying ring you guys past week and following week.they say always we are busy and i left voice msg but no one get back.bad first impression

I called inquiring about a course and had a great conversation with a course advisor who help me confirm what I should be studying and then advised they will email me the information after the call.
After no email for 24 hours I called back and after a long hold time was told the officer was busy and someone would call me back within 24 hours.
The next day after 24 hours I called in again and someone said that they are busy, and they will find someone to call me back by cob or if after the call they could not they would call me back again nothing happened. So I also sent an email.
Today no response called again same answer.
I am genuinely interested in this course however this is their front of house service I would advise to stop and think what their course care must be like if they can’t manage a call back or pass on information or keep promises.
I will still ask for the information I originally discussed as I do want it to make sure I make the correct decision that suits me but this service should be considered to anyone thinking of going with Builders Academy Australia

Does anyone know if this business is still operating? I have been calling them for a few days and there is no answer and no call back service. Maybe I will go to their office to see if its still open and operating.

I did one of my internships here as a business analyst. Wonderful place to work at. They have a very friendly and supportive staff. A reputed company which recently won the Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year 2020 award.
