Brunswick Northside Boulders reviews
46 Very nice place with a lot of variety in different difficulties.
By far the nicest staff, very helpful.
Despite smaller size than some, high density of routes. Whole gym refreshed every 6 weeks. Setting day currently is Wednesday. Great route setting from perspective of an intermediate climber. Coffee and music are great too. What more could you want?
Got into bouldering through another gym, but this one is best bang for buck in terms of difficulty.
The climbs here are geared to push you a bit, so definitely not recommended for absolute beginners, but if you're already an initiated climber, this might be the gym for you!
Size is adequate and clientele are good vibes.
Bike posts to lock up + sink outside the bathrooms to wash the chalk off your hands.
Great spot. Would recommend.
Northside has recently added a new wall, maximising the use of the space available to then. The result is great.
Walls need more maintenance! Place is really nice and staff is great but but the conditions of the walls are not very well.
Wow what a cool place! Staff are so lovely and really good walls, a deal on at the moment where you get two weeks free, there’s great coffee and cute dogs here! Thanks:)
Friendly staff and bouldering community. 6 stages of difficulties and a mystery difficulty coulered orange. There is a mini gym at the back of the place and a moonboard. Max blue stage, would come again to get my upper body rekt.
Very good variation on routes, friendly staff, can be a bit busy in the evenings but generally enough space to always be climbing
This is one of my favorite gyms, great setting, great vibe and friendly staff. Nice little training area in the back.
Probably the best climbing gym layout I've ever seen. With natural sunlight coming in from both ends of the gym and the great wall angles the place just looks stunning.
The gym is also filled with comfy couches and all this combined make it a joy to just hang out there.
Routes range from beginnger to intermediate+. Recommend everyone to check it out.
The vibe is chill, the problem setting is fine, but not gonna lie, the place is filthy. Like, a bit of dirtbaggery is all well and good, but this crosses the line into squalor. It's hard to tell what holds are in, because they're all so coated in a thick layer of chalk, shoe rubber and dead skin that they all look grey.
TL;DR nice place, but pressure washers are a thing, guys.
Great gym to get into for intermediate climbers - pretty great coffee here as well. Really supportive community:)
Friendly staff. Great routes. There was also a nice dog there. A good place for beginners and people looking to develop their bouldering skills. The warm up area has equipment to help you build some strength for the wall.
A little bit smaller than the other bouldering gyms but it’s very easy to get to and the membership is quite affordable. Beyond bouldering, it bas a good gym section, too!
Great facility, walls change a lot. Small but complete free weights section, heaps of bouldering specific conditioning equipment. I was amazed they have bandaids just sitting out if you need one. Shoe rental like 4 bucks, chalk rental cheap too. Friendly staff.
Finally, a kid friendly bouldering studio! If you’ve been googling for a bouldering place for your kids, look no further. My 8 and 10 year olds had a great time. Friendly & informative staff too! Will definitely be back!
Great vibe. Seeing a lot of people help each other to improve their bouldering skill, even they are strangers to each other.
Great, friendly staff and members. Good atmosphere, music selection and frequently updated problems.
A generally comforting nice place. Unfortunately alot of the footholds are too polished and some new hand holds are quite rough and to world is grubby and broken. Change rooms and toilets are small but nice design. The staff are friendly but overly specific and not gauging your vibe or experience. Definitely felt my energy come down while talking to them. So if you want chill climbing these guys are great, if you are wanting something a bit more exciting and professional then maybe Urban Climb Collingwood.
