Brûlée Patisserie reviews
43 I wish I could give 0 stars but unfortunetly I can't.
The staff was rude and the manager smelled of cigarettes. The food was alright but for that price not worth it. I'm really disapointed because I used to love this place but after my last experince definetly won't be coming back again.
Beautiful cafe which really made me feel like I was back in France. Wasn’t just the decor, the food was just as good and authentic. Kudos to the owner and staff, your cafe is beautiful.
Really good service and nice atmosphere however $38 for a greasy steak sandwich and a millefeuille that looked much better than it tasted (thick and hard pastry) left a bad taste in my mouth. Next time it will be Hurricane Handsome or Adette, both in Bay Street and both only charge around $25 for their generous steak sandwiches! What was I thinking?
Probably the most friendly and welcoming cafe in Melbourne. The food was amazing, especially the Zattar croissant. The staff is amazing, especially Bridget who made my group and I feel like family. Highly recommend!
The food, atmosphere, service and decor are second to none. We were so impressed with everything. We tried the lobster bisque, lobster roll, chocolate croissant, steak sandwich, club sandwich and creme brûlée. All of the dishes were amazing. You can really taste the love that is put into the food. The creme brûlée is the truly the best we have ever had. We hope a Brûlée opens up in Sydney soon. We will definitely be regulars.
Fantastic pastries, sandwiches and great coffee in a relaxed French brasserie vibe. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. Lovely atmosphere for a weekend morning.
Tantalising, sumptuous pastries baked on site daily are a very tempting invitation! Breakfast & lunch options available - very hard to leave on an empty stomach!
Have given it a try a few times but it just doesn't do it for me.
1.the coffee is very bad and not worth it. If you like good coffee give it a miss.
2. The croissants are strange and have a fermented taste. I wonder if they are using rancid butter or maybe not french butter? The almond croissant has an offensive amount of rose or other floral flavouring added which is very polarizing, not for me but it might be for you.
The stuffed croissants are ok but overall very dense and definitely not remotely close to being the best croissants in Melbourne try Agathé Pâtisserie just down the road at the market if you want a proper Parisian style croissant.
I won't be going back 3 sub par visits is enough for me to make judgement.
Popped by a couple of days ago as it looked cozy from across the road! The cake with strawberries and the black forest were absolutely divine!
Love this place! Pastries are delicious, good coffee, and nice live music. Would come back again to try their other pastries
10/10 - Best croissant I had so far in Melbourne: big, flaky, buttery, melt in your mouth.
Finally a real French treat, so grateful for this place. Although it is a little bit overpriced, I would say it is probably worth other places that would apply the same prices but are not as authentic. The lady at the counter is welcoming too.
Brulee is a unique experience, one of the few places where you always feel like visiting, you just feel like home and this is very rare to feel. The atmosphere, furniture, music and service is perfect. The croissants and cakes are extremely delicious and made to perfection, a unique zaatar croissant where you cannot find it somewhere else in Melbourne which combines the french and middle eastern taste. The black forest cake is the best i’ve ever had. The menu has a variety of dishes too which are fresh and innovative. Last but not least Chef Mariana is such a talented, friendly and humble person, always a smile on her face saluting customers as family members. Brulee is a comfort place to hang out and have high quality food.
Only the best Croissant in all of Melbourne if not Australia. The food was amazing alongside having some of the best customer service I have received. My first time and definitely not Mt last.
Decadently delish…. The tarts and pastries will destroy the most strong willed dieter and leave them quivering with just crumbs in the corner of their mouths.
Quivering aside, the tarts and pastries are really mouth wateringly good
Absolutely love Brûlée Patisserie! I work just around the corner and often come in alone or with colleagues to get a morning coffee. The service is amazing every time, always made to feel welcome and they always remember my order. The croissants are delicious (we have tried every one several times) and the interior of the Cafe itself is beautiful. Would definitely recommend.
Drove passed this place and decided to stop by. It was the best decisions! Lovely and friendly staffs. Plenty of food, salad and patisserie choices. Great vibe as well, would come back here again.
Hands down, the best cafe in the area. Amazing food, great coffee and an awesome team of staff. 10/10, would recommend.
Can't speak highly enough of the place. The venue is set up and decorated beautifully, light filled with nice & calming music. The croissants and cakes are truly delicious. The most important of all is the people. Paul was just fantastic in helping me plan my son's bday party there. He is genuinely nice, super helpful and responsive. What a wonderful place to hang out locally, highly recommend!
Very good location and great design of the cafe. Staff are friendly and helpful. Love the look of the food and love the taste even more! Amazing gourmet salads, crossaints and my favourite coffee in Port Melbourne!
Simply fabulous! You have to go and if you have done it already, you have to come back for more.
