Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre reviews
61Just had a gym program walk through with Ash, he went above and beyond tailoring a program that suited. Attention to detail was fantastic. Really knowledgeable with a vast amount of experience. Highly recommended.
Very nice indoor pool, fairly quiet in the morning hours from around 7am, as well as lunch hours around noon.
It's always hooott here. Toilet and shower area should get more attention as it's always dirty. The swimming pool is clean, though.
Some swim instructors think it is acceptable to yell and bully young children at this centre. When brought up to management it was met with a vague response and no real accountability. Parents take their children to be taught how to swim not leave the centre in tears.
Friendly staff, good swimming pools & the spa. The 50 metres is great. One downside, I think it needs a bigger showers area.
Pool is fine but these old people coming here are really rude and stupid also too much chlorine in water and dirty bathrooms
Been tossing up whether to leave this review but i feel others need to be aware before they sign their kids up for swimming lessons here!
We paid for our kids to attend swimming lessons and was left with no choice but to cancel after the first lesson. This place is so disorganized and out of control.
I had explained it was my children's first lesson, i wasn't even told where to go, we ended up walking around for the first 10 minutes trying to find which lane we where in only to find out we where told the wrong info on the phone when we signed up about timing.
They pack the pools so full of kids that are coming for a casual swim it's almost impossible to know where the kids swimming lessons are. It's all about the $. The kids from other lanes where jumping into the swimming lesson lanes.
They need to give other parents general curteousy reminders as well, the other child in the swimming lesson was out of control and being very disruptive, making it impossible for the lesson to continue. Made it an absolute waste of money, better off paying the $3 entry and just letting the kids splash in the pool. The parents of these kids, just sit on their phone and don't do anything to stop the disruptive behavior.
The pool is also heavily chlorinated, my daughter's eyes where so red and sore afterwards, she's never experienced that anywhere else.
Their policy is that you have to give two weeks notice, so they still charge you for two weeks after you cancel, this is incredibly unfair and they should waive this under the circumstances.
Only reason why I'm giving two stars is the instructor was great and really tried her best.
The bottom of the pool always has band aids and other things on it, change rooms are missing locks and even door on showers and toilets. Not cleaned very often. Manager is always busy and does not want to see you.
Disgusting attitude coming from the swimming instructors! My daughter who is 7 wanted to borrow a noodle floaty & I asked her to let them know if she could borrow one, nobody was around so she took one that was just laying there on the side of the pool.
The way the crazy instructor screamed her lungs out like as if we'd taken her precious child from her to put the noodle back the whole swimming pool area stopped & starred! I told my daughter to put it back, poor kid! The only thing I like about this pool is some of the lifeguards, they ask questions to know which is our child & to make sure to keep a close eye of they have disabilities (my boys are deaf) so they make sure to keep their eyes peeled.
Warm pool and kid's pool together. It is meant to be separate so people with disability/ injury can do exercises in a quiet environment. Kids were in the warm pool, which is not allowed to other swimming pools
Last three months been desaster not good for training and practicing too bad too bad needs a lot of improvement
It's a Leisure Centre, it has 2 pools, a sauna a spa and a well appointed gymnasium. Although the physical infrastructure is great, the staff in this establishment are nothing more than placeholders, treading water and wasting time in order to collect a wage. On numerous occasions I have witnessed incidents that require attention with regards to occupational health and safety matters and I, and other patrons, have informed the on duty staff members to those incidents which coincidentally, have been witnessed by those staff members as well. The staff willfully choose to ignore the matters and turn a blind eye, they have even commented to me "there's nothing I can do, it's not my job". Well if you're getting employed by the leisure Centre and getting paid to ensure best practices and the safety of the general public, who's job is it then to make sure that patrons and the general public are safe? The staff here either need a swift kick up the bum or the sack or both. They are negligent and incompetent. I believe that the only time that they will take their job seriously (maybe) is when someone gets seriously injured or killed due to the staff/managements willful incompetence and neglect. Just be careful if you patronise this establishment. You have been warned!
Still being charged direct debit when having a medical certificate in place. Conflicting information that I won’t get charged again and that I will have credit, only to be advised otherwise. Multiple calls over the last few weeks, extremely disappointing that you get charged premiums when you har valid documents in place.
Lovely place to relax for a swim, I always visit when I’m in Melbourne.
- friendly staff
- good facilities
- plenty of space
- not too busy
Only real issue is the male shower area, could use a reno
I attended the queer gym and swim night and had an absolute blast! All the staff were so friendly and kind, and had put a tremendous amount of effort into making it a safe and inviting space!:) means the world to me personally! I’ll be coming here from now on:)
The lifeguards are hopeless, My 12 year old daughter saved 2 children from drowning, while the life guards were having a friendly conversation with eachother. Very unprofessional they didn't even notice they were saved let alone drowning. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
Clean facilities. Many different classes and activities to choose from. Friendly and professional staffs. Instructors are very nice. My favourite are Kevin (Zumba), Jess and Eve (body steps).
Swim every morning when I can, and the gym offers classes for not the fainthearted or take it at ur own pace! Friendly helpful staff as well!
Ahhh. So Relaxing this place. I come here Often to Unwind and Chill Out with a Swim. Highly Recommended.
Great pool great facilities and love the music whilst swimming and doing laps. Water temp is a little on the cool side and would be nice to be a little warmer but overall a great facility.
