Broad Bean Organic Grocer reviews
42 A hidden gem!
I love this store!
Staff are helpful and friendly. Very clean with lots of variety of great quality product and lovely fresh fruit and vegetables. I have been going here for months and I highly recommend for everyone who loves the best in produce and excellent Customer Service.
I went in there, and it was just a bad vibe all around, nothing you would expect from a place such as this one. You’d think they get payed enough to smile a little bit, but obviously not. The place around the corner has a much better atmosphere.
Saw the boss (?) abusing and using foul language towards the staff when I was trying to Enjoy my coffee this morning. He began swearing and even got to the point where a staff member began to cry. Me along with the other customers were left feeling awkward and uncomfortable. Don’t think I’ll ever revisit.
What a LOVELY cafe! Really nice people, fair prices and good quality cakes and pastries. The large, generous ‘gingerbread people’ were particularly cute and great value at only $2 each) great options for people with intolerances — every type of milk available, great drink options like a caffeine free turmeric chai.will be back!
I have been a customer to the store for over a year now and I have been holding off writing a review. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and the lack of customer service in this store is not great and what i mean by this is it is very cold and not welcoming at all. The staff do not greet you with a smile or warm welcome, maybe this is just how you are treated in a city. The girl on the coffee machine looks like she is forced to be there looking very miserable no customer service at all and this is not just today but very time she is there. I spent $ 4.70 on a coffee that i couldn't finish because is was horrible. There is no rapport built between the customer and the employee. Not saying all employees are not pleasant but when you have been going into a store pretty much daily for over a year one would think you would at least get a warm welcome or a smile.
Came in the other day to get a coffee, saw who I assume is the manager talking rather firmly with two of the workers whilst I was being served, the workers looked super uncomfortable and unhappy after the man walked away and I felt so awkward. Other organic places I’ve been to seem so relaxed and sustainability focused, not this one. From what I saw so much plastic use as well.
Really poor coffee, that's all I have to say. Seven Eleven is near by, you'll be more satisfied with their machine coffee.
One of the best organic cafes and food stores in Melbourne City area. The coffees and juices amazing, staff are very cool and the food is delicious. If you are after some real coffee or shopping for your meal, this is the place to visit.
Great food and service. My 2yo spilt a whole juice on floor and staff were amazing. We come here every week and love the experience
Great customer service! The may be a wait, but it's worth it as the quality is outstanding and the team do a great job.
A little bit over priced for organic stuff - you can get the same stuff for cheaper at Queen Vic Markets or in the inner city suburbs. I don't like the feeling that I am being charged more because it feels like they have a monopoly in the city - there are no other shops like this. However, admittedly, it is probably to cover the higher rent prices.
Cannot speak more highly of this health food shop.
And open allot of hours when others are shut. Juices here, to die for.
Great coffee and great service. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating - when I was visiting my family in Melbourne, I was taking 4 kids for fresh juice. They always accommodated for kids need and the kids love the fresh juice. Highly recommend for kids.
Just a small space
Super cute shop offering healthier lunch options.
Although the grocer is tiny is offers plenty.
In terms of the cafe, they have great food and drinks. Staff are very friendly. Definitely a place I visit regularly because of this.
Really great coffee! Friendly staff and such a great and flexible coffee menu so you don’t need to ask ‘can you substitute x for y? ’ - it’s already spelled out!
I love this place! Great selection of products and fresh organic fruits and veggies. And their juices are the best!
Great products, good coffee and the staff is very kind. Obviously a bit pricey but that's the deal with organic and top-quality food. Don't expect to find all sorts of fruits and vegetables like in supermarkets as they only get seasonal food (which is great). Their soups are also yummy. The shop is tiny so there aren't many seats/tables.
Good coffee, a nice place for someone who is environmentally conscious to shop in. The price is a little high though.
One of the best, if not the best smashed avo I've had. Coffee is always good, with plenty of vegan friendly milk options. Good range of smoothies, and a very handy range of groceries to boot. Highly recommended.
