Busy busy little bakery! You know it must be good if there's a line out the door. Husband had a Lamb pie which had layers of lamb no mince he'd never had anything like it loved it. I had a lovely egg and lettuce sandwich on really fresh wholemeal bread great experience)

The Bridgewater Bakery won the award for the best Vanilla Slice in Victoria. Ok I have just travelled 250 kilometres to test the truth of the claim. The result, yes they are something to enjoy. Nice fluffy custard, waver bottom nice and crunch but for the sweet tooth individuals the icing is a killer. If your going through you would definitely want to get one. Sadly the coffee needs improvement.

Without a doubt this was THE best place for pies and Vanilla slices in THE world! Haha.the pies were absolutely amazing. I visited the bakery on 4 Occasions during my stay there and each time it delivered. The vanilla slice was absolutely amazing and I will definitely be back again. I can not recommend this bakery enough. Mint slice? Amazing. Pie? Amazing. Coffee? Ok. On the minus side, I didn’t think the sandwiches were that good, but my partner thought they were fantastic. Get yourself to this bakery though!

Have driven past the bakery a ton of times, but yday we made a trip over to Bridgewater to the bakery to check out the award winning vanilla slice, and was certainly not dissapointed, we joined the queue outside the shop and waited our turn, mind you the service was very efficient so we didn't have to wait long, and for a simple lunch of a pie and cake topped off with coffee sitting down along the river
was so worth the drive, food was outstanding.will go back

They have won the best vanilla slice in Victoria for the last 2 years, bought some to try, the judges were correct, the slices were the best I have tasted in the last 50 years, wish I lived closer.

Parking can be difficult. However once in the door, sensory overload on the delicious bakery items including their award winning vanilla slice. Great coffee.

The pies are amazing, especially creamy vegetable and the roast lamb with gravy ones. Sausage rolls are great size. Cinnamon donut a bit average, and the vanilla slice had exceptional icing but standard otherwise. Note there are other good looking sweets in the cabinet I'm keen to try next time.

Really good coffee and yummy things to eat. There is a great spot to sit by the river to consume their goodies!

Always stop here for vanilla alive and bread rolls when we can as they are the best around. Their pies and other bakery goods are also worth a try (but you'll go back because of the excellent snot blocks!) The service is fast and friendly. Expect a line up outside on sunny weekend days. I pack all of the makings for salad rolls, buy the bread rolls etc at the bakery and picnic by the river. A wonderful trip out with the family.

Old school bakery - not out of date old school like Baders dirty 80s Tash but classic, timeless old school like Scotty's 90s grunge rock hairdo.
Awesome vanilla slice, the sausage roll was a bit 'meh' so go for the pies, they looked pretty impressive. Coffee was pretty good, especially for a regional Victoria coffee. Will be back again

Stopped here and got a couple of beautiful pasties and a sausage roll and quite possibly one of the nicest coffees I’ve ever had

Always a lovely place to stop for a bite to eat. Everything is good and the vanilla slices are amazing.

Tried a few things on my first time visit, sausage roll was thin and seem small for what you pay for, meat pie was ok but not the best, chocolate muffin felt not fresh, vanilla slice was ok, I'd go visit if pasting by again.

A great place to stop in and get a coffee, cake or even a delicious pie from there. Have been there a few times, staff are lovely and it is always busy.

The young man who served me and had no customer service. He made many mistakes from my order and didn't pay attention when I told him what I wanted. Food was no special and didn't felt excellent. I had better food from other bakery and they r fast more tasty and be friendly. Very disappointed. L

TERRIBLE. Didn't have the famous vanilla slice I went there for. Staff member was making repeated mistakes with my simple order. And the meat pies were nothing but soft bottomed pastry filled with jelly filling that had maybe 40% meat in them.

I was lining up for. Should put as much effort into ALL their other produce as their award winning vanilla slice that I've never tried.
