Bridge Fish & Chips reviews
69My best friend and I were having a drink at mordi cellar door and decided to grab our dinner from here, I would usually go to Tommy Ruff as I’m a huge fan of their food, but we decided to try something different. I ordered the fish of the day, which I requested to be grilled, and had a Greek salad, tartare sauce, lemon wedges and chips. It was a huge serving! And so so so good! The grilled fish was seasoned to perfection and cooked so well, the Greek salad was fresh and had heaps of ingredients other than just lettuce and the whole meal exceeded my expectations by far! For $19.50 it was amazing and it was better value than most fish and chip packs I’ve had before. The staff were friendly and we were given buzzers which we could take back to our table at the cellar door, which was not only convenient but also such a great system! Will definitely order from here again!
Always scrumptious foods. A pleasure to sit at the tables outside and enjoy a wine or beer bought from the shop next door whilst eating our fish and chips.
I’ve been here a few times and accrued the same problem with the staff drowning food in salt to the point it is not edible.
By far the best souvlaki and Philly cheese iv found in my travels, staff are great, wish u guys where closer to fern tree gully
Worst fish and chips I have ever had. Not sure how it's possible to stuff chips up as bad as these.
Came for lunch and ordered flat white fish and chips. The food was good but a bit bland.service and atmosphere were great
Potato cakes to die for / fried flake can you believe tuff / sausage in batter no batter/ soo dry / hey guys work out how to have a thick batter on sausage, l can recommend a shop that does have a thick batter,? Maybe you should try it?
One of the better fish and chips in surrounding area. Lamb souvlaki meat was a little overcooked but still good quality (ie not fatty or chewy) but otherwise tasty with nice fluffy pita. Fish and chips good quality and nicely cooked, however they could ease up slightly on the salt, although I was able to shake most of the excess off. Still will return as its one of the better places locally.
Waited 35 minutes for fish and chips. Worst chips I have tasted, whiting was also rotten will never be back. I thought the seagulls were going to spit the chips out
MY wife was hungry and we were looking for a place to get somenthing for her as we are in a keto diet, she went into THE BRIDGE FISH N SHIP shop and she came out with a blue grenadier (she never has that) but she started eating it and she kept saying you have to try this is the best fish I ever tried.
Now she keeps asking me every week to drive 25 kilometers just to have the fish at THE BRIDGE, as a matter of fact we are going thewre tomorrow (yes 25 km to it)
Normally a great place however tonight for there at 7.50pm and the girl at the counter obviously didn't want to be there. After I said good evening she replied do you have an order?
When I replied no, she snapped and said we are closed and she turned her back on us and walked away. 2 other people had walked in the same time as us.
Worth another try in the future but if the staff have the same attitude that will be the last.
Very busy Friday evening and we did a walk-in, but despite this only waited 25 minutes. The burgers were okay- a little dry, one was missing the caramelised onion, and another was minus sauce. The fish was on the small size but okay, chips very salty but my daughter said the calamari was bland. Dinner and drinks for four people cost $89, and considering that comprised of basic menu items, it's the most expensive fish and chippy I've ever found. For the price, they could deliver better results.
Best fish n chips in Melbourne. Fish is always fresh and the potato cakes and dimmies are spot on.
Waited 1.5hrs for a flake and chips. Others served before us. Owner won't accept responsibility of poor service. Not even peak period which is summer.
Ordered 4 burgers with the lot, fish, dim dins and potato cake yesterday. It was all delicious (especially the burgers) and very reasonably priced. Will definately be back.
Had to wait along time for food only for it to actually be cold and also paid over $50 for a pack that came with less then minimum chips
I gave it a three star because the previous time I had been, the chips were amazing.
Our favourite go to for fish and chips shop when we come to mordialloc. Definitely recommend their battered flake and battered dim sims are a real treat. They are just the best!
Sadly, the Bridge F&C are clearly targeting visitors to the area and do not care about repeat business. Minimum chips, literally a handful, potato cakes the size of a golf ball in diameter. Tiny piece of fish. I ended up with more packaging that product. Quality, just the same as any local fish and chippery, so hard to justify the minimal serves. Very disappointing for over $35. As a local, time to go elsewhere.
Best fish and chips the Melbourne gyro was so full of flavour too! Absolutely loved it! If your looking for some more high end fish and chips this is it!
Best fish n chips we have had in a long time. Light n fluffy. Reminds me of the good old days. Highly recommend.
