My Mum and I bought a Deb dress from there today and the lady who served, let me just say, 10/10 job, she went above and beyond for us and I couldn’t be more grateful, thank you so much for making my Deb dress shop the easiest it could have been on such short notice!

Customer service was A1, with one week until my daughters deb, Karen went out of her way to ensure my daughter had her dream dress at such short notice, we are so grateful and appreciate all you did for us. Brides of Melbourne was our first stop as I had already had an amazing experience 4 years ago when I purchased my wedding dress from here. So glad we made the 2 hour trip, was definitely worth the drive!

Helen & Karen are absolutely amazing! They made me feel so comfortable and welcome from the moment I stepped in. Their attention to detail and honesty really helped me choose what I truly wanted.
The collections are incredible and affordable in my opinion.
Wouldn't have gone elsewhere. I had so much fun too! Thankyou so much ladies xx

Yesterday I went in to purchase a dress for my big day in March!
The service I got from arrival to leaving was fantastic Helen understood my budget and only showed me dresses within my budget, involving my mother and sister in the whole process, we didn't feel rushed and felt very welcome even though the first dress ended up being the dress I chose she allowed me to try different one to see if they suited me which they didn't and at the end of the day I felt fantastic in the dress I chose

My daughter recently bought a dress, but was very disappointed with the lack of attention to detail. On her second visit, she had to ask for her belt and head piece to try on. These had been forgotten about by the Lady looking after her, 'tho she'd served her previously. Adjustments to the dress that were promised weren't made; the dress wasn't hemmed, and bodice not completed to instructions. 'Not happy

I purchased a bridesmaids dress from Brides of Melbourne and had a fantastic experience. The lady who served me was lovely and helped me feel comfortable in my own skin. I explained to her the type of bridesmaid dress that I was looking for and she brought in multiple options, offering me honest feedback until we found the perfect dress. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a bridesmaid dress.

My partner went here today. Being a young bride she is very excited for her special day, the staff member named Karen, couldn't have ruined today anymore for my partner if she tried. Her mannerisms and the way she speaks to people is absolutely disgusting, wouldn't even speak to my dog the way she does, highly disappointed, acts like the world owes her something. Highly no one go to this business. Would give it no stars if possible

I could not recommend brides of Melbourne highly enough. I’ve been a customer at Cheltenham twice, once as a bride and once as a bridesmaid. Both times the staff were super accommodating. The ladies made me feel as if they genuinely wanted me to feel beautiful on my special day and weren’t just telling me what I wanted to hear so they could make a sale.
I had been dreading wedding dress shopping and just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to the ladies at the store for making my experience so enjoyable.

I went to Brides of Melbourne at Cheltenham for an amazing appointment on the weekend. I was really impressed! I received awesome service from an older lady with dark hair. She was so nice and made me feel so comfortable. I was really worried they wouldn't help me because of covid but she was great and still kept her social distance lol. We are getting married in a small ceremony but i still wanted to look amazing. The lady really helped by listening to what i wanted, she knew what worked for my body and when i got confused was really supportive and helped me decide on a beautiful bling dress! She went above and behond by helping me show my mum on video chat. I couldn't be happier and just wanted to say thanks!

Future brides to be - please do not let this store be part of your experience.

Today I visited Brides of Melbourne in Cheltenham and couldn’t have been more disgusted in the complete lack of customer service by senior staff member Karen, even after reading the below reviews I still can’t believe this actually took place.

After arriving a little flustered due to the lack of parking available I was confronted with a gruff “Are you here for the sale? ” without any pleasantries or introductions one would expect when looking to spend thousands of dollars on a very special gown. Standing in the doorway I was barked at “What kind of dress do you want? ” before being shown a rack of dresses which couldn’t have been further from what I had described.

After trying to help get us on track and showing her the photos I had taken from their website less than 12 hours earlier I was dismissed being told “We don’t have that one, or that one, or that one”. I should’ve left at this point but felt bad for dragging my bridesmaids there and pushed on.

After some more rude remarks not limited to but including; “It’s just like the one you showed me” (It wasn’t), “That doesn’t matter, they all come in different colours”, (How was I to know?) and “We don’t have anything white”, (Oh for gods sake), I just selected a few mediocre choices and went into the change rooms where on requesting a bathroom first was told “They’re only for staff, go to McDonalds”.

Finally getting a gown on I tried to put the experience out of my mind and stepped out in front of my bridesmaids (and other staff and customers). Before any of us could open our mouths Karen exclaimed loudly “Nup, I’m not feeling it”. I was shocked and told her it would be a shame if I was loving it! She tried to backtrack but we were done. I went back in to the change room, got my clothes back on and told my girls it was time to go.

Like I said to you this morning Karen, you’re lucky that I’m a confident girl who isn’t unsure of herself. I couldn’t imagine how heartbreaking it would be for someone else who took your rudeness to heart and thought this was how the experience was meant to be.

I’ve seen from your previous review responses that you respond to negative feedback with sarcasm and fake well wishes for the future. May I suggest that you spend less time mocking those you’ve offended and perhaps undertake some training in customer service and general human decency.

PLEASE if you’re looking for a gown do not go here. The brands are stocked elsewhere and you’d receive more warmth and joy ordering off a faceless seller on eBay. Regardless of your budget this is likely the most money you’ll ever spend on a dress and the experience deserves to reflect this.

Visited Brides of Melbourne (Cheltenham) this afternoon and was disgusted by the way a senior staff member was liaising with her Bride appointment, in front of us.

We dealt with Megan, whom was absolutely fantastic.

However, this other staff member, was NOT allowing her Bride to try on more dresses (she had only tried on one) after only 10 mins of her appointment, then proceeded to speak and treat her Bride in a derogatory manner, all beside us.

I have never been so appalled at an appointment, this poor Bride had to defend herself and her wedding to this staff member and it was awful to watch.

This store, unfortunately for Megan, has now lost 2 sales. We will never return and strongly suggest no one to ever visit this store.

Disheartening experience. My bridesmaids were picking out dresses for me and was told by the staff member that I wouldn't fit into them. I've been to two other bridal stores and this was the worst one.

I highly recommend karen from Cheltenham, karen was so helpful and supportive with finding my perfect wedding dress for me.
Karen listened to what i wanted and didn't push me to buy dresses i was not comfortable with. Karen answered all my questions about the styles what would work for my shape. Thank you so much karen for all your help you are amazing.

All the ladies I spoke to were lovely on the phone and in person, very helpful. Highly recommend.

The team at Bride of Melbourne (Cheltenham) were amazing! They Were so helpful and went above and beyond making me and my family feel so special when we came in. I had no idea what I wanted for my wedding dress and they guided me through the different designs that they knew would look good on me and what I liked an didnt like. They just knew what would work. I was so comfortable and thrilled with the service I got there that we decided to buy all my grooms Ans groomsmens suit from the Ferrari men’s store as well and again these ladies went above and beyond ordering special suits at the last minute and making sure everything was perfect for us all!

Had the worst experience here a few weeks ago. It was my first day shopping for a bridal gown, and the salesperson was rude, unwelcoming and was obviously trying to hurry us out after trying on only 2 dresses. As soon as we arrived she went out the back for a cigaratte, and then kept trying to hurry us through as though we were wasting her time. After about 10-15 minutes of my appointment, she basically told me to go buy a dress from the shop down the road.

The girls at Brides of Melbourne (Cheltenham) were fantastic! They were so supportive and helpful to me every time I visited the store. Wonderful service! I loved my dress so much and wouldn't have found it without them. Thanks again!

I knew of was asking for trouble coming to this store based on the negative reputation this store has. I thought we would just try and pop in for a browse as I was aware we may needed to make an appointment for fittings. The sales consultant was extremely rude and dealt with us as though we were stupid for visiting the store unannounced. It even said on the door appointments preferred not essential. She lost a potential sale as I bought one down the road an hour later.
