Box Office Cafe reviews
76 Amazing service, really good coffee and amazing food! We got in early on a Sunday so it wasn’t crowded but when we were leaving alot of people were coming in.
Amazing ambiance.
I came to Box Office by chance. I loved the very romantic atmosphere. The service was very friendly. It has a wide variety of wines and a very appetizing menu. I really recommend you to take some time and visit this great place!
Nice place to enjoy a light meal with @ cup of filter coffee. Friendly services and quality food.
The food was very delicious and the service was really good. Food came out quickly even though the place was packed.
Amity is such a beautiful waitress, service and food amazing! I rarely rate a restaurant but in this case I have to. Damn it did I just make it impossible for me to get a table for myself!?
Trendy, family friendly cafe that doubles as an evening hangout for drinks. Books, board games and a small sandpit for the small kids; spirits and large wine selection for the bigger kids. Dress warm in the cool seasons, as it can get a bit chilly.
Staff lacked hygiene constantly coughing on food they were preparing
To expensive for very little quality
DO NOT RECOMMEND
The place is aptly named, it sits in cargo containers. We can see the chefs cook beautiful food through the boxes. The food was very scrumptious and filling. A lovely place to go for brunch!
Haven’t been here since before the pandemic. Was a regular at Box Office even when it was a shipping container in Geelong CBD. Sticks (Mark Stawicki) has a certain flair, creativity and character that is fully reflected in this business and the fare it dishes up. Always casual, friendly with a touch of class. Without a doubt my favourite coffee shop of all time. With this bloody pandemic finishing I must get back down to Geelong where I lived for 20 years and visit this fantastic spot.
Nice food, good service, attentive wait staff. Enough interest on the menu to be a little bit different from every other cafe.
A quirky cafe that serves great coffee and an awesome selection of food. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Definitely one of Geelong's hidden gems when it comes to cafès.
Great venue, great vibe, awesome staff and delicious food. A special memory for me also that night. Definitely worth checking out.
Visited yesterday for the first time and what a great experience it was. Staff were friendly and chill. Great menu selection. I had the salmon benedict and it was delicious. Coffee was great too. They use Axil Coffee Roasters. Venue was pram friendly with a ramp to gain access in and it was easy to have my little one sitting right next to my table. Parking available right out the front on the street or parking lot right beside for 2 hours during the week. Definitely will be back and recommending to our friends and family.
Very friendly service, great fit out in what is really a shed plus a container. Well worth visiting.
Reasonably priced
Really nice breakfast this morning, coffee was great and the staff were all really bubbly and friendly highly recommended
Frustrating place. Such a cool setup, amazing bar and outside seating area, and the food, drinks and coffee is prerty good. The major let-down is the unprofessional service.
We came for lunch, was fairly busy but not packed. We were seated, then looked at menus. After this point, we were completely ignored by staff. No water bought to table, no coffee order etc. Staff were frequently chatting/making smalltalk between themselves and with other guests, and walking past when it was clear we wanted to be served.
After about 20 minutes of waiting, I went in and asked a waitress whether she could get someone to come out abd take our order. She said, with a fair bit of attitude "I'm on my break, they'll come out when they can".
We waited another 15 mins, and then left.
Similar (but not as bad) has happened before.
Its sad, as its a really cool spot, and would be st least 4 stars with a simple bit of polite, organised service.
Hands down best overeasy fried eggs I've had at a cafe. They also do eggs other ways too, but I just loved my eggs! Love the table layout of built in booths outside. Great menu that caters for dietary requirements well. Great service too.
Great spot with lots of outdoor space.
Delicious food & coffee & FRESH fruit juices. Very friendly staff, good service.
Bottom pic is avocado on toast (with salmon), the top corner fritters (with bacon) both delicious.
Everything we ate was so delicious! I was shocked by how tasty everything was. Local beers. Cool place
Best chai we've had.
Second best fritters ever. Best peanut butter. Excellent bacon and nicely packed egg. Top tier smoothie. Cool venue!
