Parmi Monday with a parma and a pot for $20. All good. Nice variety of parmas to choose from. Their mash and gravy isn't terrible either. Would go back.

Great meals, old school service with the publicans getting around to say gday. Family friendly. Live Gigs. Great selection of beer on tap (independents like Moon Dog Old Mate and a couple of others) Pretty much everything a pub should be. Well played Barwon Club

I attend gigs at this venue because I know someone in one of the regular bands. I love that they give up and coming bands, who want to have a crack, an opportunity to perform in front of a crowd.
Great supporters of new local music.

The best pub in Geelong. An icon and an institution. An excellent variety of beers from the pisswater that is Great Northern, to the nectar of the Gods that is Stone & Wood. A kitchen that knows what it's doing, from parmas to stir fry, every dish is a winner. And most importantly, an unwavering commitment to supporting live music and fostering a real community of musicians and music fans alike. No pretension. Great vibes. I love this joint.

We had a good time at The Barwon Club Hotel. Be warned, the price of food is expensive. However, my gnocchi was tasty. Really, I went there for their Salt Lager which is crisp and delicious (best from the bottle rather than on tap). Stop by if you want a drink.

I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to the staff at the Barwon Club.
Trying to organise my lovely 94yo grandpa’s funeral with a limit of 50 people was difficult especially when we were told the funeral place couldn’t serve refreshments afterwards due to covid restrictions!
I was so glad to find the Barwon Club would be open for lunch so we could hold a small wake there.
The staff were so kind, even when we were half an hour late. They were helpful with dietary requirements and all service was provided with a smile and “no worries! ”
Not only was our experience with the staff wonderful but the food was also delicious!
I was worried that my expectations of a pub meal after 3 months of iso would set the bar too high but the food at Barwon Club was bloody delicious!
I look forward to coming back for future family get togethers, hopefully for more positive occasions.

Great staff, good food. Fantastic band rooms and frequent live music. One of the best venues in the area.

We had a party out the side. It's a nice area that can be closed off from other areas and has its own small bar with a few selections. The toilets are located just around a corner outside the area.

The food here was disgusting! It was nothing but a bogan central drinking establishment.

Decor so old and outdated that it was screaming for a makeover.

The BC has been around for ever. We tried the wensday steak night. It's good value with chips or mash both very good and veg or sald which are ok as well. Staff were attentive and frendly. All in all a good night out. The LL@B was also on point which is not always the case now days at other pubs.

Epic environment and the food smells from the kitchen are extremely appetising. They have live bands, a pool table, a covered and nice smoking area and happen to be one of the few places left with VB on tap. Pop you're head in and the friendly staff will be more than happy to help serve you whatever you wish.

Fantastic steak cooked just right at medium rare with hot (that's right hot) chips and a salad that did not feel like you were drinking vinegar. Happy service and a very reasonable price for the steak night. Would easily go again.

Simple but delicious pub food. Even a great vegan option. Brilliant, friendly efficient staff. Good beet selection. Loved it.

Typical pub food fare with a few vegie/vegan options. Large portions. A little pricey for the type of food (23+ per main dish for items such as parmas). Front bar is clean and somewhat comfortable however the band room has horribly sticky floors, broken stand up tables, nothing appears to be cleaned at the end of the night including the tables, benches and floors, toilets are similar.
Some good bands play here pre-sale tix are always cheaper than on the door.

Decent bar and a good venue to play and catch some live music. There's a decent selection of beers on tap and in the fridge.
Be aware that you will encounter bogans in the front bar, though.

The bouncers are thugs who start fights and use excessive force. Kneeing people from behind with no warning and throwing patrons around for laughs. Unprofessional vermin. Calling the club your "arena" doesnt make you sound tough either.
