Borchelli Ristorante reviews
81Authentic Italian meals without a ridiculous price tag. Whether dining in or takeaway, the menu is varied and after eating there multiple times over the past few years, I've never had a bad experience. A must visit for a lovely lunch or a cosy date night.
Today Sat at 3pm we had a lunch there. My wife had pork belly. She had it before at this place and liked it. But today when the dish was brought by the waiter she noticed that the dish was looking different. Two hours after having the meal my wife developed severe vomiting, abdominal cramps and diarrhoea, which lasted several hours. I never saw her suffering like that, even though we had been in many countries and places. She finally had to take stimetil to stop vomiting, but she is still unwell. We are very disappointed by the result of the peaceful weekend lunch.
Fabulous Risotto at Borchelli. Cosy, red checked table cloths, aroma of wonderful food. Gluten free, and dairy free options - friendly staff, very helpful for dietry requirements. To complete the picture, opposite Borchelli sits a fine temple fronted classical building with massive corinthian columns.
I had the marinara pasta it was amazing, my date had gnocchi and loved it. Atmosphere was great too, very cozy.
This restaurant is in a very nice location with a great atmosphere and quaint decorations. Very welcoming and friendly staff which were very attentive. The service was VERY quick! The food was amazing! I ordered Fettuccine Carbonara and it was the best Carbonara pasta I have ever tasted! It was simply perfect. There is a nice view outside through the window as well.
Beautiful food and great service, the lemon tart is so nice, the pastry was was perfect and it put a tingle in the cheeks with the real lemon. Thanks for a lovely birthday dinner.
Borchelli Ristorante was an amazing experience! You literally feel like your in the heart of Italy in a cozy traditional restaurant. Would highly recommend Borchelli to anyone!
Amazing food, welcoming friendly staff & great location.
Hadn't been in years & was just as amazing as I remembered
Food is delicious, reasonably priced, large quantities and lovely staff. The best Italian restaurant in Bendigo without a doubt. Cozy little spot with amazing food. Wait times are reasonable as well, could offer a larger range of meals on the menu but apart from that a perfect restaurant.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. The bruschetta was the best I've ever had and the 3 pasta platter is a great way for 2 people to try different pastas (all were delicious). Would give 6 stars if it was possible
Happy to be dining out after covid19 restrictions! We booked ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
Seated upstairs with a view of the Capital Theatre we poured over the menu making our selections. Our chosen dishes were delivered promptly and tasted delicious.
We left with bellies full and smiles on our faces.
Cosy restaurant that could potentially feel a bit squishy if it's busy, luckily it wasn't when we attended for lunch. My dad had the fish of the day and enjoyed it but found the portion on the smaller size. My husband, sister and I enjoyed our meals and portion sizes ️
Game changer for Italian food, not just in Bendigo but in general. Absolutely melt in the mouth gnocchi was our favourite will definitely be coming back
A magnificent friendly family atmosphere with amazing food you just can't get enough of. Exceptional friendly staff that work like a wonderful team.
A fantastic place for a romantic dinner or a full on family and friends night out.
Awesome!
A nice cosy restaurant for a romantic dinner for two, not stingy with the seafood in the marinara pasta.
I only had a coke passing by lovely staff and great atmosphere, def worth a visit I think for a meal
This p, ace is a personal favourite and I always take visitors here. It’s ever changing so easy to visit again and again. I often go down just to eat at the cafe and have coffee. Food is always fresh and tasty. This was a tip of a friend as this Centre shows a lot about the Aboriginal History. There is an art gallery with beautiful Aboriginal art work, videos and stories about their history. Next to that,
We were there mid morning and loved sitting in the sun during winter on the outdoor tables. Lovely coffee and cherry ripe slice. We also ordered scones but they were not as light a mixture as we would have liked. Very friendly staff. Now this facility has a small playground will be visiting more often, great spot on the river with amazing views.
Called in for coffee and snack vegetable tartlet delicious Partner had white chocolate baked cheesecake lovely and moistEach time l return to Shepparton, l always make sure l have at least one lunch at this fab little cafe'. The food is always fresh and well presented. Quite an extensive menu to choose from
A very cozy little nook! Found this place on our little adventure to Bendigo and was one of the few places opened on a Sunday. Glad it was because the food was very hearty and just what we needed. We ordered the fried potatoes for entres and 4 pastas for lunch, the smoked salmon fettuccine, spicy fish spaghetti (first one on the list), spaghetti marinara, and creamy mushroom gnocci. The potato dish was a bit garlicky - if you like a lot of garlic, you'll like this. I always find smoked salmon pastas a little salty this wasn't too bad the fetuccini was creamy and sauce delicious, the fish pasta had bits of fresh chilli in it and gave it a bit of a kick which I really liked the sauce was an olive oil base and a bit creamy so if you dont like your pastas too creamy this is a good one, I did find a big portion of oil at the bottom of my bowl towards the end though and made it a little unappealing but the flavours were great. The seafood marinara had a yummy tomato sauce base and plenty of chunky prawns at the bottom delicious found the prawns a bit over cooked though. The gnocci was very creamy almost melted in my mouth, the sauce was creamy and well seasoned. If you like creamy pastas I recommend the gnocci. I like a bit of spice so I liked the fish pasta the most although the oil at the end made it almost hard to finish
