Peter has mediated two sessions that I have been involved with between the same two parties who had reached a stalemate on both occasions.

Peter’s expert guidance and impartial support, combined with good humour and positivity, set the stage for us to feel heard and to be able to listen openly without feeling threatened or disrespected, by reminding all parties that ‘listening is not agreeing’.

Peter’s mediation skills created a 'safe' space that allowed us to be open to the possibility of learning new information and considering alternate options. Peter was then able to clearly articulate and create the terms of agreement document formulated fairly under his guidance.

Peter is a wonderful mediator. He not only listens to you; he hears you. He listens to you and as he listens he unpicks your thinking and puts it all back in another form. It’s not always easy to have your thinking unpicked, in case at times be confronting, but the results of the "re-framing” can be, and usually are, completely liberating. You will find Peter has listened, he has unpicked, he has re-framed, and he has helped you move to a new place. It feels like a privilege to be so closely attended to.

I have been applying the ABC techniques with positive results. When mentoring others, I refer to the techniques, which they reflect on, achieving good outcomes and a learning opportunity.
