Bombay Grocery and Cafe reviews
31It is a good shop but personally I find shop is too cluttery inside and outside. No proper display, no price tag just stuff it in kind of look. Prices are bit expensive compared to other shops of similar products. But not everything is bad.quite decent variety of products and friendly attitude is a winner.
To all the shoppers where please CHECK YOUR BILL everytime you shop here, cannot stress enough on this.
Not sure I should be giving any stars to this shop. They shamelessly sell expired products.please refrain buying from this shop. They should be penalised in consumer court. #accc
Prices are higher than anyone else, products are not tagged properly and the staff do not follow Covid guideline.
Overall simply atrocious shop.
The prices for the groceries are not clear. One price on the shelf and a different price at the checkout. Happens all the time. The food was decent, but lately the quality has been slipping.
Store is ok but lacks precautions for covid. Owner himself walking around without mask putting staff and customers at risk.
Very poor quality and rude customer service, we ordered tea, it was worse quality. Will not recommend to visit again.
Expired stuff all the way. They sell expired stuff all the time.
Their food is also not fresh. Got pastries a while ago and returned it the next day as it tasted like it was sitting there for a week.
This store is selling expiry products by keeping their personal stickers to create own expiry and manufacturing dates. I have bought poha packet in which the manufacture date says 07/2020 but the packet seems to be too old when I tried peeling off the best before date from the date is 6 months (their sticker says 12 months). They might used some liquid to wipe off actual manufacturing date.
When I opened the packet to wash them there were lot of insects and lice’s in it. Even washing after 10 times couldn’t clean that. And most of the products are expired and they are sticking their personal store stickers to sell them (hiding their old best before dates).
They are too pricy too compared to other stores and selling all the expired products.
Also they sell gold membership card which they charge $60 for cheaper products, to my surprise discounted products prices are being matched by other Indian stores without paying any membership fee. Just a cheap tactic to fool customer. Buyers beware.
HIGHLY RECOMENDED NOT TO BUY FROM HERE.
And this is my first on the record complain, earlier already I have given 5-6 times complain to the owner but still the same thing. Seriously terrible.
I never write a review but I am so done now.
Amazing service with amazing authentic Indian food. I got there almost every day its that good!
I ordered some snacks through Uber Eats. Three of the food items were not in the takeaway when it reached me. The food that reached me was quite substandard and tasted stale. It caused a stomach upset for my wife. The good thing was Uber Eats put in a refund. Apart from that, nothing was good. I just wanted to record my review so that other folks are wary of ordering from this place.
