Blue Bamboo Restaurant and Cafe reviews
46Enjoyed a great night out after lockdown, the food here is always spot on and great quality. Service team are welcoming and friendly. An amazing local restaurant I'd gladly recommend and appreciate.
I had been here a few times. Food was relatively good but oh the service.it was so infuriating. I stood there with my baby waiting to get a table. I literally stood in front of reception table for 2min and being ignored by the lady behind the table. I decided to walked out. They obviously don't want my business. The restaurant was quiet. And this is not the 1st time.last time it happened didn't mind waiting because I didn't have my baby with me, but the lady was still taking her time in serving me and wasn't friendly at all. Look, I understand you maybe busy or in the middle.of something, but perhaps it would be good idea and common courtesy to say sorry I will be with you in a min.
Definitely a post covid restaurant to try out. The Vinh Long Chicken and Boneless Duck is delicious here. Will come again!
The chicken and corn soup was not season properly. Fried rice with xo sauce was not bad at all.
I like the atmosphere of this restaurant.owner and staff are very enthusiastic. Will be back there <3
Such a lovely atmosphere. The food was fantastic, highly recommend the shaking beef. Amazing! Would definitely come back. The team were also super friendly, its a little hidden gem with wonderful gardens.
Absolutely wonderful place. A gem hidden in Braybrook, the back garden and wonderfully fresh food will take your breath away
Good COVID-19 plan. Attentive service. Lovely garden area out the back. Plentiful and delicious meals. Stir fry with Chinese broccoli was particularly good.
Excellent atmosphere (back tables). The fish pond, fish tank and garden makes this an unique restaurant. Decent food and service. Pricey though. Not a typical 'fast food' Vietnamese restaurant.
I wanted support local business. I ordered some dishes for Friday dinner.
I went to a few times eat in the restaurants and all the times I was satisfied but today’s take away food was so disappointed. Mixed fried flat noodle was very oily, lemon grass fried tofu was ok but portion was small.
It’s $18 but only half container. Did you change the chef?
Superb take-away food! Can’t wait until we can sit down down there for a meal again. It’s like stepping into Vietnam. A real gem.
The food is fantastic. The service is ok. The restaurant gets very noisy because it gets very busy. Prices are very reasonable considering the meals are large and filling.
Average crispy skin chicken, barely any meat, mostly bones. Also appears no broken rice is available, this place seemed better before the renovations.
A beautiful meal was spoilt as I slipped on their wet floor which they had washed while customers were still in the restaurant. There was no sign saying Wet Floor. Poor, I am now left with a very bruised leg and arm.
Love this place. Enjoy the outside area especially and all my favourite dishes are always cooked to perfection
Amazing Vietnamese in an area thick with similar restaurants, this place was a standout. The tropical garden and wooden decor helps set this place apart from the rest. The menu as ever is extensive but that doesn't hinder the quality of food, a favourite of our kids and us.
Food was ok. Roasted duck was excellent. However, will need to book a table in advance so you can have a good seat with great view. Staff was friendly. Food takes quite long time to come
Great venue, great host, friendly staff. Food is fantastic, highly recommend any of coleslaw dishes and dont miss banana fritter.
This place is located in a small shopping strip where a number of undesirables lurk. However, businesses like this are transforming the area to a more inviting place to be. I am glad they opened shop here.
Great atmosphere, it's very clean and staff are polite & attentive! I am not a fan of restaurants with large menu's as they typically have too much and end up not doing any of the dishes particular well.
But this place seems to have gotten it right though. The prices are very cheap for the quality of the food. The duck here is especially good. "Shaking beef" is done better than a lot of other places I have been to. Strange that they don't do Rice paper rolls for diner though.
Haven't been given the opportunity to sit in the back garden area yet.
5 Stars!
The food here is actually pretty good for a small vietnamese restaurant. Bit too small for large families but nice and cozy for couples. They apparently have a nice small garden pond at the back which is reservation only area during peak hours so I suggest to book in advance if you want a nice view.
Also I highly recommend their calamari dish.
But be warned that there is limited carparking space available during peak hour as its located on a small shopping strip with a local Cellarbrations, Post office, fish and chips shop and laundromat.
