Blackman's Brewery Bar and Restaurant

Great service, beers and food. All were right up there, the pork sliders and southern fried chicken were awesome. Very impressed with the beers, a great selection including some small batch/ seasonal.

I had the beer battered fish and chips. It was huge and one of the best fish and best chips I've ever had. Really beautiful beer garden / dining area out the back. And the staff were fantastic. 5 stars for sure.

Great food. Myself and my friends had a pizza, burger and Parma. All were great and the staff were very accommodating and I loved that they were diligent checking Id for covid safety.

The staff are lovely, not over-the-top as another reviewer stated; just friendly and warm. Nothing cheesy. Most (if not all) seem to know their way around the selection of beers available.
I had a chance to chat with three of the staff and they were all just as nice as the next, regardless of the topic; whether it be about the new beer (mentioned in final paragraph) or just general small talk whilst paying for the night.

The food is very nice and they certainly do not skimp on the portions. All of the food also pairs very well with the beer which I am sure is no accident.
I had the loaded fries, fair to say that the Con Carne said fries were loaded with was close to the quality one would expect from a home cooked meal.

The environment is just as warm and welcoming as the staff, I was seated outside in the back of the bar and it was well equipped for all weather conditions (heaters for the colder weather and breezy enough for the summer months). The thoughtful touches are what I really liked though, the fake grass, wooden tables and chairs, nice amount of warm lighting; all of this really brought it together. It has a much warmer feeling than that of your regular run of the mill restaurant.

I’m posting this on the 20th of Feb ‘21, one day after the release of Blackmans Amarillo Beer which I had one pint of and was pleasantly surprised. I’m unsure as to whether or not this will be a permanent resident of the Blackman collection but I certainly hope it is.

I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The beers were reasonable, going for something new in each brew. The food on the other hand was simply amazing

We attended for lunch after skydiving and had the best customer service. Nothing over the top but just smiles, fantastic greeting and great friendly service. Beers were cold and tasty and the pizzas were good.
Definitely be back and the main reason was the customer service. Keep it up.

Pan fried cauliflower was delicious as an entree accompanied with fabulous local beer. We ordered fish and chips and a chicken Parma. The batter of the fish was delicious and perfectly cooked. The Parma was equally delicious both served with ample chips complemented with light lettuce salad.

Such great food and beer, highly recommended.
The drinks’ tastes are unique, fruity and aromatic.
However, among their personnel one served us who can be a bit friendlier.

Great place to take some friends.

Such a wonderful place in a beautiful location. The staff were all so lovely, attentive and made us feel immediately comfortable. It was a busy night and I'm so impressed that they were all so chillaxed and bubbly! The food was beautiful- can't recommend the loaded chips, pumpkin pizza and mouthwatering Blackman's Burger enough. Such a grouse selection of beers (my favourite was the Wildberry Sour). The vibe was awesome, and cozy, and my partner and I had a fantastic night. Will definitely be recommending it to my friends, and returning here again. Thank you Balckman's Brewery ️

Beers are good, but my praise ends there. The food is just average. The service was rude nearly every time i went- like did they not like me for some reason? I always felt weird! Brought my vegetarian friend here and she literally couldn’t eat anything- so we settled for the “loaded chips” without the meat, server said they would add something else like mushrooms or something. The fries came out with just cheese on top and they charged the full price of “loaded chips”. Totally weak. From now on, I’ll get the beer in the local bottle shop and skip this whack place.

Awesome staff, with covid safety in place. Topped off with a fire place while enjoying a tasty beer, cocktail or wine followed by some very tasty food for all ages. Great treat out with the family

Awesome selection of beers, awesome staff, awesome food what more can you want from a local bar.we had crispy nachos that was amazing.many thank to the kitchen staff made my partner and myself feel very comfortable.

**Edit: I initially gave 3 stars based on the review below, but I'm changing it to one star. 6 hours after eating there, I started feeling unwell. I spent the night spewing my guts out. Draw your own conclusions. **

Main range of beers is REALLY good. Wit beer is a perfect representative of the style, the smoked porter tasty as, and the cider is crisp and dry while still having a fresh apple taste. However, the sours were really disappointing. In an attempt to not be polarizing, they've made sours-for-people-who-don't-like-sours, which taste bland and boring to people who DO like sours!
As other reviewers stated, the chips ARE great, for what that's worth. As for the pizza, the dough is obviously high quality, bc the crust was light and airy and perfectly crisp. But the toppings were bleh - watery spinach, way-too-sweet (almost sugary) caramelized onions, not worth $23.
Atmosphere is an industrial feel, good vibe, nice fireplace, convivial outdoor area. Service is friendly, not amazing, but as not bad as others made out.
In short, go for the beer (except the sours), but go somewhere else for dinner.

We had good beers and much tasty foods especially pizzas are awesome real authentic Italian pizza puffery dough and toppings are amazing the vegemite pizza is really really good I love it.great service

Went there few time after surfing. Pizza are really good. However our group of friends found the last experience pretty negative mostly due to a rude staff. We were a fairly big group of 12 people and came for diner after a beautiful trail running race. The staff was just not welcoming to us and no one in the group felt treated as a customer. Not going into details here but we hope to be better welcomed next time, no matter how late as long as you are open.

Pizza are good but smaller and smaller (not the dough, what they put on top) every time we go there.

Had pork shoulder and it was tender and delicious. Crackling was on point. Drinks were great too.
