Black Seed Cafe reviews
51 Great menu, the service was extremely slow, we waited at least 20 minutes after our order was taken. I had brioche French Toast it was nice, my mum had raisin toast with jam.
The table we sat on inside was sticky, also watching staff member cleaning the tables after a customer had left, she wasn't using anything but a dirty cloth also no sanitiser spray to disinfect which l was totally surprised. That same cloth was used from one table to the next without rinsing or sanitising in disinfectant even the chairs weren't wiped over. Not recommended
Loved the atmosphere of the shop. Met up with friends for brunch, the food was really tasty and the coffee was spot on
Will definitely be coming back
Food presentation was amazing. Tasty breakfast with great coffee. Staff are friendly and prompt in service.
Just one word for everything served here -DELICIOUS!
Exceptional service, even better food served with a smile.
Nice ambience in here and great service. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to come back!
Moroccan baked eggs, potato hash, eggs on sourdough. All very tasty and well priced. Good serving sizes. We enjoyed them all as brunch on a road trip.
Black Seed Cafe lives up to it's rewards and I can completely understand why it's always busy.
Here's what I did like; the coffee was amazing the atmosphere was also nice you, get a very cosy warm and welcoming feeling and the food was tasty and reasonably priced.
I did knock this back one star because on three separate occasions I had a staff member ask me if I'm ready to order despite explaining I'm taking my time to look at the menu.
If you're a local, I completely understand why you'd visit. If you're a coffee connoisseur and in the area you won't be disappointed.
Enjoyed a very nice breakfast here on the weekend. The coffee is second to none! And everything is full halal!
I had the Potato Hash breakfast and thought it was very nice. My only small comment would be the beef rashers could be fried so they are crispier as the fat was a bit too hard to chew.
Thanks, I will definitely be back for more!
We are from Brisbane visiting family in Werribee. We visited Black Seed Cafe for a Sunday Brekkie.
I had the Brioche french toast. Best I have ever had.
BEST coffee, great service & lovely food.
Well done guys!
We will see you on our next visit.
After a pleasant walk along the riverside I ventured to the Black Seed Cafe with my two dogs for a bite to eat and a cool drink. I remember having breakfast here months ago which I thoroughly enjoyed so thought I would try their lunch menu. I ordered the calamari and it was the best calamari I have had in years, cooked to perfection, tender and flavoursome. Served with fries on the side and a chilled can of coke the bill came to a tad over $20, exceptional value in my opinion. The staff were super friendly and attentive. They even brought a fresh bowl of water for my dogs. Highly recommend the Black Seed Cafe, you won't be disappointed.
Very cheerful and friendly staff. We enjoyed a yummy brunch of their chilli egg breakfast burger and smashed avo toast.
Amazing foods. We ordered smoked salmon, poached egg in croissant rushed beef, and chicken nugget chips for the kids. Food Presentation is top. Very fine detail e.g in splitting the asparagus and cutting the herbs. Poach egg is perfect. And the tastes absolutely amazing. Even chicken nugget and chips taste great. Place is cosy and clean. I looked on the floor and chair legs. They are clean. Staff seems to be local as they greet most people walking in and outside. Well done. Price is reasonable. Will be back.
Great coffee and service that's always friendly. Great mix of interesting middle eastern food on the menu done well. Two blends of coffee available, the Mikro was my favourite, easily. The other a darker roast probably preferred by most though. Highly recommended.
Proportions is massive I would say. Well cooked and prepared food. More item on the menu can be added. Would recommend 100%
This is hands down the best cafe in Werribee. They have the most mind blowingly delicious food, and they always go the extra mile in customer assistance. I particularly recommend their beef rashers and baked beans, and their Wild Mushroom Forest.
Nice little cafe, with really tasty looking food.i only had coffee because i had already had brekkie.but the dishes looked so delicious and the menu had so many favourites. I especially wanted to try the specials. Pulled beef brisket sanga
Everything was made so beautifully! Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed every single thing we ordered! The only cafè I’ve left in a food coma but HAPPILY! The chocolate milkshake (not sure if it’s called chocolate or nutella) is the best I’ve tried in Melbourne’s West! I skulled the milkshake before my meal even came out which is so rare haha! We just loved everything! And it sits at the top of the best brunch’s/brunch spots so far!
Only fault is small tables & very close to one another. Other than that. TOP BRUNCH SPOT IN THE WEST so far:)
Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. We had 4 dishes and couldn't fault a single one. Amazing coffee and fresh orange juice. Will definitely be going back.
Definitely a stop not to miss’ - lovely service, get in early to avoid the peak hour (clearly a popular & local favourite.worth the stop)
Noisy place with the cafe being packed for Saturday brunch, but that's because it's surprisingly really good food and coffee here, great customer service too.
