Black Cup Cafe reviews
44 Best coffee I have ever had, it actually blew me away! The food is great and it has a lovely atmosphere.
The staff are friendly especially Andrew who took care of us. My favourite place in Geelong!
Never paid so much for a hot drink and cake anywhere! Ordered a lactose free hot chocolate and a very small slice of cheesecake, that cost over $19. The cake was stock standard, definitely had better. Cannot fathom paying that for coffee n cake. Also it was absolutely freezing and very very loud.
What can you say when two average cups of coffee and one piece of mud cake cost over $24
There may be some that think that is value but not for us
Never again
Lovely food and service all fresh. Well worth a visit. I am a bit of coffee snob so was not great but good.
Paid over $28 for a latte, milkshake and one cake to share. I thought it might be a mistake. Lovely food and coffee, but, I felt it was overpriced or I was being over charged.
Absolutely lovely food and even more so lovely service.
Andrew was delightful and this will now be my local every time I come back to Geelong
Sitting in my car out the front writing this because I couldn’t go anywhere without reviewing the takeaway I just had. The toasted chicken Caesar sandwich is magnificent. The egg! That yolk! The hens are eating well. The bread was perfect combo of crunchy and chewy. Every ingredient you’d expect in the salad, minus the anchovies. In the top 2 sandwiches I’ve ever eaten.
My Partner & I ate here for lunch today. The owner and his staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for lunch in East Geelong.
Great staff, friendly vibe, excellent coffee and stunning food. Plenty of car parking too. You can't go wrong here.
First time there on Saturday morning for breakfast. I’m going to go EVERY Saturday from now on. Delicious breakfast bruschetta, the coffee was so good I had 2 and the service was wonderful. Smiling, happy staff. Such a treat.
The most delicious eggs Benny & big breakfast we have eaten & very large portions. Great coffee! Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. Thanks
Great service and it is one of only a small number of cafes open later in the afternoon. But we paid $23 for one almond milk Chai, one normal coffee latte and one shared cake. That strikes me as very overpriced
Nice folks though and pleasant setting.
My granddaughter and I came to your cafe for lunch today it was our first time the setting was lovely the food and coffee also nice service was good until we ordered a second cup of coffee after our lunch and were asked to go and sit out side in the cold because other people came in and wanted our seats we went out side but not happy there were 2 other tables near us with people on them that had been there longer than us never had this happen before and hope it doesn't again other than this occuring I would have give 5 stars
Vanilla slice kings of the world OMG like never made before or after this place
Service was also thank you!
Had a friend leave after a very bad experience trying for a job here. Not only was it an unsafe and discriminatory workplace, she told me how the chef was coughing over food and into hand towels as well as dropping food and still serving it. Geelong has a thriving cafe scene so much better places to chose to eat or work!
Such a cute little cafe! Sadly a recent fire had damaged their kitchen so they weren’t serving hot brekkies when we went, but this did not matter as their food they had on offer was all amazing! Still dreaming about that turkey, Brie and cranberry toastie! Great coffee too, lovely service
Food was good. Coffee very bitter and a bit burnt. (Espresso). Much better places to go for coffee.
We got there they took a while to find our booking then put us at a table for 4. We had a booking for 5.
They said we would have to eat ouside.
We stayed on the small table as it was raining.
They moved us to a bigger table later.
They were very busy but the orders came out a long time apart maybe 30 minutes apart.
I was good what I had to eat and the coffee was good.
The turkey, brie & cranberry toastie was fresh, buttery, sweet. For $12.90 I felt it was a bit skimpy on the fillings, though the flavour was good.
Friendly service, great range of cafe style food and a deliciously huge coffee!
Comfy and welcoming atmosphere.
