I should’ve taken more photos but one of the best things I’ve ever eaten is the beef tataki for entree. Perfectly seasoned and melt in the mouth. I’d drive to Ballarat just for that. Doubled up with the steak which was perfect medium rare.

My wife had the bruschetta for entree which was fresh and super tasty and the chicken breast for main with veg was seasoned perfectly and chicken was tender.

Staff are fantastic. Always welcoming, efficient and friendly. Can’t wait for our next trip to Ballarat!

We've now been here twice. The first time was an excellent experience, and that's why we came back a second time. Unfortunately, the second time the food was pretty average. And reminder to self- don't order the duck fat potatoes. They are bland and not crispy. The chips are really nice though.

45 minutes and still no Pasta. Too slow and we could have waited if any of the waitress or staff told us what happened, why after 45 minutes our food was still not on our tables. Also the guy from the cashier didnt make an effort to double check with the kitchen if the food is ready or apologize to us for the bad experience but instead was rude and questioned us "are you sure you didnt receive the food? " The only thing I received was a beer. And the people around us was finishing their food and no new diners are coming so what's the hold up? This happened July 8,2023, reservation was for 8pm. Table 13.

Best restaurant in Ballarat in my opinion. The food is great, the atmosphere is warm and the restaurant staff are incredible.
I am however surprised at the hostility we were engaged in for the last 2 nights. We dine here a minimum of 4 times a week. Not sure why Merrilyn from reception was threatening us for 2 nights in a row. This is outrageous. We were just having a peaceful dinner and she just walks over to us threatening us. Day 1 we let it pass, then again tonight……. I don’t understand why a customer would receive threats in front of my little children and all the customers.
Completely unacceptable behaviour and this is actually a police case. Such bullying and harassment is not something I anticipated.
She even called security guards on us. Poor guys didn’t know what to do as we didn’t seem to be the problem.
She has lovely photos of our car parked on a disabled spot. I hope she took a photo of the full parking lot too. There was nowhere to park and we had to get our little ones into the restaurant in harsh weather conditions.
I personally have over 600 staff working for my company and if any one of them was to treat a client the way she has, I can guarantee you, she would not be staying with us.

Recent reviews suggested service might be slow, however our meal service was fabulous. Monday wet night in July. Order promptly processed 2 drinks, double beef pattie burger, eggplant croquettes (entree size) and roast pumpkin quinoa salad. All arrived together as requested. Room was busy but well spaced out. Food was great.

My family and I come here regularly for dinner - the customer service is prompt, friendly, accommodating and the food is tasty. The manager, Linh, is great to chat with and makes our dining experience memorable. Highly recommend!

Last year I been here for dinner it was great experience so I and my husband came this year for holiday we still choose this restaurant for dinner. They changed the menu (different than 1st time), more dishes you can choose, as tasty as last time. Creative dishes, nice plating, and all ingredients are combined very well. I highly recommend come to here for dinning, a bit pricy but it’s fine dinning quality, very worth it. Definitely come back next time️
I rate 4/5 because I not really like the taste of dessert tiramisu, it was sour and not sweet, not like the “tiramisu” image of mine, so I will say it’s creative taste no judge (because my husband finish it)

Great experience, One of the best in ballarat. Tried their breakfast, best quality and beautiful presentation. Overall am very satisfied with food, drinks, service and ambience.

Meals were very nice, but I have to say that when there were errors made or sides forgotten, we received the highest standard of customer service that I have seen in a long time. You deserve every star just for that

Amazing. Went to Azzuri for dessert after a dinner out elsewhere. Service wonderful and helpful. Dessert was absolutely scrumptious.

I had dinner at Azzuri the two nights I stayed at the Mercure. The pork loin and the lamb rump were both tender and delicious. The pineapple cannelloni stuffed with marscapone is the pick of the desserts. The staff are attentive and friendly. Highly recommend eating here.

I stay here at Mercure Hotel regularly on business and l used to love coming to Azzuri for dinner as the meals were always superb but of late (l would say there's a different chef now) I've had meals that have been completely sub standard. Bland, flavourless and very poorly presented. The standard which was once excellent has now plummeted to really poor. I will dine somewhere else when l stay here until it improves. Would not recommend.

I booked to celebrate a special birthday for 8 people. I did let the operator know when I reserved the table, that we had one vegetarian coming with us. There was only one thing on the main menu to suit him. Unfortunately the main meal didn't suit him. There was not a lot of variety of dishes to suit all the remaining guests that I had with me. The service couldn't be faulted. Over all, most of the guests enjoyed their meal.

My husband and myself have been to stay twice now and plan on coming back possibly with friends we have highly recommended the facilities our room was warm comfortable and clean options of restaurant food was great also lovely to lounge around in front of the fire sipping a late or wine can't speak highly enough thank you to the very friendly staff

Food was very Tasty, Ravioli was abit oily, but delicious. Crumbed Meryland chicken n orange couscous was also devine, thanks for dinnner! Reccomend

Lovely and helpful staff. However both my partner and I steaks were over cooked. Almost $40 for a piece of rumb, a handful of potatoes and 4 cherry tomatoes. I’ve never been so disappointed in my life.

Our biggest mistake was to book at this restaurant!
Service and food was a huge disappointment.
Slow and sloppy service and food was below standard.
Seafood platter supposed to be for two, but even one person would have been hungry eating all.
Disappointed and disgusted.
Please! Stay away!

Decidedly unpleasant, with regard to repeated dining rules. No phone, no food, even if you've eaten there before. Very alien and very unhelpful. Lost battery charge? 'Ask the front desk. ' If you're lucky, you'll meet a pleasant waitress, and the food's adequate enough.

Delightful Cafe (Mercure) indoor/outdoor coffee n scone delicious staff friendly. Amongst parkland and pond.
