Big Al's Pizza reviews
35Very disappointing meal to be honest chicken schnitzel with chips and veg. I got that but it was pitiful to be honest. It wasn’t what I expected for business like that I wish I could post a photo.
Okay pizza but people working there are very rude and unprofessional, young man was unapologetic and confrontational when I told I got forgotten on hold for 10 minutes then couldn't get through after 40 minutes as they hadn't hung up phone, so I had to drive down and wait
Refused to refund me 2 and a half hours after making an order with the pizza still not having been put in the oven, even though they updated the order to say it was with a delivery driver. Over a week later and still trying to get my money back through Menulog as Big Als refuse to address Menulog's email and phone call follow ups. Will not be making the mistake of ordering here again.
Worst pizza the guy inside working make fun of customers and driver. And on the other hand he argue with drivers and try to threaten them.
Ordered pizza here when a few friends had a weekend up in the hills. Just before we walked in a local told me to go elsewhere because the pizzas were terrible and the wait is too long. We didn't listen. After ordering, we waited for over one and a half hours for 2 pizzas. The toppings were sloppy and the garlic bread was burnt. There are better alternatives in Belgrave or Upwey.
Order 1 night, arrived 2 hours late. Next order through menu log, restaurant didn't even make our order! We called, staff were SOOO rude. Don't upset them, they probably spit in your food
I'm a big fan of big Al. Delicious pizza, fantastic dough, fast, cheap and big enough to guarantee leftovers.
I would give zero stars if i could. It would be faster to fly to Italy for pizza than to get a pizza off these guys. Absolutely ridiculous
After politely asking to be served by another staff member on the phone, 'Sam' then berated me for not having patience for a 17 year old trainee. This was after several minutes of agonizing poor service. I've had over 15 years experience training staff in a retail environment and would never expect a customer to endure that lack of proficiency, and certainly not the ensuing lecture. 'Sam' threatened us with 'black-listing' after I asked him (again politely with a neutral tone) to not lecture me- What a laughable threat. Despite my deep misgivings, I continued on to order and received three tasteless, lightly topped pizza's of notable mediocrity. I miss the old owner. There are plenty of other tasty pizza offering's about the area that also offer good service- Stuff you 'Big Al's', you've lost another customer.
Gem of the Hills! The staff are both cool and calm, great to have a talk to and extremely quick with the preparation of the food. My children recently found out about the Jumbo Pizza Challenge, I have only seen the videos and/or live-streams and it is such a great deal! 2 Pizzas for the price of 1! I definitely suggest heading down to this Pizza joint, every single Pizza I’ve eaten there has been delicious for such a low price, it keeps on bringing me back again and again. Don’t hesitate to pop in and grab a bite to eat, a various range of food as well!
The french garlic latte was a really enjoyable feed, after a couple rounds on the eastern front the western pizza pulled up and got the gobble no CAP
Pizza was terrible and ingredients weren't fresh. Soggy chips. The gelato had been refrozen after it obviously had melted.
Jumbo pizza challenge is the greatest food challenge ever and the first I’ve ever seen locally.
Awesome experience, me and my mate completed the jumbo 18” in 10minutes challenge! Awesome night and will definitely be attempting to beat our record.
Very very slow delivery! We live 5 mins drive away, took over 2 hours for our pizza to arrive! Not even an apology or offer to discount or give a free pizza, only response was "we're busy tonight. Called 3 times and every time they saidnit was "leaving now". Will not be ordering pizza from Big Al's ever again. Absolutly appauling!
