Big Al's Pizza

I recently visited Boronia and had the most delightful experience at Big Alz. The pizza was absolutely delicious, with a perfect blend of flavours that left me craving more. But what truly made the visit exceptional was the incredibly friendly staff. Their warm welcome and attentive service made the dining experience truly enjoyable. Kudos to the team for creating such a fantastic atmosphere!

Last night, I enjoyed the most delicious pizza I’ve ever had. Even though I have to cook today, the lingering taste of last night’s pizza is irresistible, prompting me to order it again. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient in preparing the pizza. I’m eagerly looking forward to having it again tonight.

The gluten free base was a bit heavy and not crispy enough.

Came here for food last week and was a bit skeptical as it's been years since I had tried anything from their menu but was delighted with the food they presented. Was quick (just under 10 mins), delicious & the staff were lovely:)

I like quality of the pizzas, the owners are friendly and service was prompt.
Something I'm not a fan of is that the store front advertises "$5.95 traditional pizzas" which actually only includes margherita, garlic, or nutellas pizzas.
Other than that, it was a pleasant experience. I walked in, there were 3 customers before me and I still only waited about 10 minutes ordering over the counter.

I worked in there cooking all the pasta and I only did two shifts. Very very dodgy and they were smoking in the back rooms where we were cooking, I didn’t need a food handling license and I didn’t get paid for one of my shifts etc

Buyer beware. Think this place is under new ownership? Have been there before and the place was ok. Guy barely spoke English, prices didn't match the menu on the counter. Guy pretended not to understand when prompted about it. I can't rate the food because I took my money elsewhere. From other reviews it seems I dodged a bullet anyway.

My dads gotten it multiple times and it’s always RAW and DISGUSTING if you get it WILL most definitely make you SICK.but if raw absolutely awful tasteless expensive pizzas that makes you wanna cry is your thing i recommend it there’s great parking! And terrible service!

It was about half way there for me, I have just moved to the area and felt like a quick easy dinner, the staff were friendly but the pizza was pretty average. I got the bbq meat lovers which didn’t taste right, the mince on it wasn’t very nice and far too much fake ham! I also got a garlic pizza which was nice but it’s hard to screw up 2 ingredients. I honestly don’t think I’ll go back again. I’ll try somewhere else there are pizza shops closer to my new place with great reviews.

If I could leave negative stars I would. We've had pizza from here previously and it was very average/ bland top day the least. But this time as it was a convenient location wet thought we'd order quickly as I was having a pregnancy craving for pizza. Upon my husband arriving to pick this up they notified him that their eftpos had been down all day. So even though annoyed my husband went to find cash so he could bring preggo her pizza. Upon arriving back with cash for said pizza they were giving it to the barber shop next door as my husband took more than 10 minutes to get the cash. Absolutely disgusting customer service and bland pizza. They should be ashamed to call themselves a legitimate business let alone food establishment. DO NOT EXPECT ANYTHING GOOD FROM THIS PLACE. AVOID

Excellent pizzas, great service and friendly staff. The store was very clean and lots of parking.

Big Al's Pizza to be our local pizza shop until we moved, so 4 years on we thought we should venture back.

They advertise their 'Traditional' 11" pizzas for $5.95, yet this only includes Margherita or Chocolate. Since when is Hawaiian, BBQ, Vegetarian, Supreme etc not considered 'Traditional'? !

The pizzas we ordered were alright, however the garlic bread was so burnt it was black over the majority of the outside of it.

We won't be travelling past other pizza shops to Big Al's again.

Not terribly bad but doubt I will go back after giving it another go 5 years on.

Still the same, yet prices have gone up to mid range pizza pricing.

Quite Bland and they def lack on tomato paste making them very dry.

Worth trying elsewhere.

Don't waste your money, you will be disappointed, one star is too generous.
I ordered a family Hawaiian with extra pineapple and ham which cost me an extra $4, what I got was a basic pizza, when I went back today to let them know that I was disappointed (I showed them a photo) all I got was to be told in poor English that they have a new menu and the prices have gone up. When I pressed for a refund of the $4 for the toppings I didn't get, I was offered $2 which I declined.
I would not write a review of this nature without first giving the proprietor the opportunity to redeem themselves.
In future I will be taking my business to Benny Boys Off Lewis Road, and expect that readers might do the same. Compare the reviews.

The Pizzas are good taste, prices are reasonable.and the new younger manager they have in is a really great addition to the business.i would visit there week after week!:)

Received txt @ 6.26 pizza will be with you @ 6,50 pm, called @ 7.17 to find out where pizza was, was told THEY had a huge back log of orders & sorry. Told them if it arrived cold, I'm not paying for it, was asked, do i want to cansel. I told them i could walk there that fast. Pizza arrived 30 min late. Will not be ordering pizza from there ever again. Bad business, or bad worker?

The owner was very rude. The staff mistakenly count the total price. She then forced us to pay the difference of $3 while scolding at us and the staff. Waited too long too.

Good pizza.best pizza. The price is best, taste is best as well. The boss of pizza shop is so nice. Excellent. I will come back very soon.
