Berkowitz Furniture

I've never shopped at Berkowitz so I have no idea how I came to be spam messaged by their business today. Not a fan of that and will never give money to a company that does that. If you have similar ethics around unsolicited marketing contact I would avoid this business.

Nana from the store was very helpful and took the time to help us pick dinning chairs. We love them. Great customer service. Would shop here again.

This furniture store in Springvale is one of the best in Australia, especially Yianna who was the biggest help with finding the perfect furniture for my home. She gave us a very warm welcome and best service as well as provided us with the best deals! This shop is amazing and has a wide range of furniture for all tastes, highly recommend.

My couch was delivered today and is so perfect in every way. Size, shape, colour, fabric and of course the Berkowitz quality. I purchased from the Springvale store where I was looked after by Nana. She is awesome, knowledgeable and very helpful. Alex was fantastic too. I highly recommend purchasing furniture from this store.

Good products, Ok service but Don't bother if you want your couch this year.

14 - 16 weeks wait on a couch set with another 5 weeks delay at the end. Little comunication once I paid the deposit and only a vauge promise and weak apologies in terms of a delivery time frame.

Will I get my couches? Probaly. When? NFI!

This particular branch is awful mainly due to one particularly condescending and rude individual.
Simply awful customer service. Avoid this branch.

Purchased through berkowitz expecting a higher quality product, being Australian made. The fabric on the couches that we purchased became saggy within 2 weeks, after many discussions the fabric was replaced and the same problem occurred pretty much immediately, since then we have experienced terrible customer service and 20 months on we are still waiting for the new fabric which has been agreed on to be applied. The amount of promises that have been made and broken is really disappointing, they tend to blame the upholsterer and are not willing to accept any responsibility themselves, we purchased from the Springvale store and have been trying to deal with the manager Gabriel, he has no idea about customer service and it appears that once the product is sold they are not interested in dealing with any issues promptly. Our experience has been extremely disappointing, we are still waiting for an outcome and berkowitz should think long and hard about how the want their managers to deal with issues and customers.

Joe was awesome! Helped me find the best dining table, really knows his products well. Not too pushy, love his recommendation.cannot wait to receive our new dining table!

Springvale's Customer Service: After ordering a custom made lounge suite i followed up after the expected time frame had passed to see how things were progressing. Our sales rep from Springvale store [who is also mentioned in other reviews here] could not find our order on their system. I then had to email a copy of the tax invoice she wrote out in order for her to find us on their system [not a good start] Then was told you'll get a call next week to arrange delivery.

A week passes and no calls. I have to keep following up.

Then she eventually leaves a voice message saying delivery is booked for Monday and expect a call the Friday prior to confirm times.

Once again no call so i follow up with head office and no record of our delivery ever being scheduled. Head office then helped to arrange delivery for us on another day.

The service from the Springvale store leaves little to be desired, and based on this and a slightly pushy sales attitude i would not go back to this store. Even during these follow up calls she was very pushy and lacks understanding. You feel like you are being lied to and brushed off.

Build Quality: As for the build quality of the Berkowitz lounge, it is ok. Not really happy with how the fabric is aligned on the cushions which makes it appear cheap. Attention to detail in finishing appears to be lacking.

Compared to Plush Furniture [a lounge we had for over 10 years and one i'm already missing] i feel this Berkowitz lounge will not last anywhere near as long and also do not think it is up to the same standard. The main reason we choose Berkowitz was that we could fully customise the size and if there was ever a next time [which i doubt], we'd go to another store location.

My husband and I set out to find a new lounge suit today (21st June). We went to the springvale homemaker centre. The first store we noticed was Berkowitz. I didn't really know what to expect as I had not really heard of them before. We were greeted by Joe who helped us. He was so knowledgeable and obviously knew what he was selling. We looked around but nothing else compared or suited us in the other stores. In the end we ordered a lounge suit through Joe. Super helpful with ordering, choosing colours etc. Not pushy at all. Highly recommend visiting and ordering through Joe.

Yianna is the so worst manager ever! Dont go to their store she is such a racist and was bullying me and my family!

I ordered a Canyon Sofa with chaise lounge. Enjoyed excellent service from Joe Baghdadlian throughout the experience. He is a true professional with extensive experience and provided valuable advice. He ensured that communication remained open the whole time throughout Covid lockdown. The sofa was delivered and is absolutely beautiful with high quality workmanship. I also love the fact that it's manufactured in Melbourne. Would thoroughly recommend Berkowitz and go there again.
