Bendigo Backpackers

Great clean and quiet place to stay, walking distance to the centre. My room was clean, warm and spacious, bed comfy, wifi working and with access to outside seating area. Kitchen was immaculately clean and lounge area looked comfortable although I didn't have time to enjoy it. Number of toilets and showers were adequate with no need to wait in line. It was very quiet when I was there, although you could easily hear others in the kitchen/living area. Great value and a view of the cathedral from the porch.

This place is immaculate, and well worth staying at if in Bendigo for a few days. It's like a high class backpackers for adults. It's super clean and tidy. Close walking distance to everything, the beds are super comfy.

Great accommodation very close to the centre of town and not far from the railway station. We had everything we needed and check in was simple. Very different from most backpackers; only 6 rooms, all the amenities are of a very high standard and everything is spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Thank you for such a beautiful accommodation, my stay overnight in Bendigo has been very very comfortable, and I really appreciated the quiet, homely space so beautifully appointed to lay my head down in overnight.

I will be telling all of my network, who may at some stage be travelling through Bendigo about it because it is honestly one of the nicest places I have stayed in for a long time.

It’s that perfect balance that isn’t ostentatious but also isn’t borderline dirty.

In fact, I felt so, at home, I forgot to take my towel into the bathroom this morning, dazzled by how nice and clean and well kept everything is even in the bathroom, which is always a tell-tale sign when travelling.

Congratulations to you, and your team. I will definitely be staying here again next time I come to Bendigo)

Amazing place to stay, rooms are very comfortable and extremely spacious
Communal areas were clean and comfortable as well, coding system makes it easy to access and you don't have to wait for anyone on arrival. Thumbs up X 5

Being a backpackers and at this price point, my expectations were low, however I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a 6 bed, 3 bathroom house that has been converted to a 'backpackers'. Can be as private or social as you choose. Huge bedroom with a comfortable bed, all the facilities were very clean. Great location, walking distance to everything you want to see in Bendigo, highly recommended.

I stay here regularly and would not consider going anywhere else in Bendigo. The house is warm and inviting, spotlessly clean and well appointed. It's more like a boutique hotel. Beds are comfortable with plenty of bedding for the coldest winter nights. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and store food. Bathrooms are spacious and very clean. The outdoor courtyard area is a lovely place to eat or just sit and read.

This is not your typical backpackers. It is a well renovated retro style bungalow near the city centre. It offers 6 comfortable private rooms with shared bathrooms. It is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Great communal kitchen. Close to the Golden Vine pub for meals and the old Deborah Gold mine (worth exploring) We loved the sunny front garden too. Would def stay here again. Only drawback was the heavily scented air freshners. Otherwise a great place to stay

Was booked in as I was going to attend a motorbike event. Unfortunately had to cancel at the last minute due to events beyond my control and received a full refund, much appreciated.

Received message from Backpackers asking me to cancel my booking weeks after being accepted as they could no longer accommodate my dates. No apologies for inconvenience, messages were terse and lacked empathy.

Terrible, no phone contact available, says family friendly on website but anyone under 18 cannot stay. This is not clear at all and as I was with a person under 18 I never checked in and my money is gone, NO REFUND given.

Can’t even answer the phone, no admin available to allow people in even after making a booking with arrival time…

Poor operation, minimal effort

Couldn't fault the place. Was there for a week whilst working in Bendigo. This is a home away from home not your typical backpackers. Great location and good price. Everything clean and quiet. Will be back.

Affordable and spacious, a clean and tidy house with excellent amenities. Very lively along with an unambiguous ambience. Room was comfortable and extremely quiet. All in all, a great homely feel coupled with a distinct calming aroma. Very secure set up.

Sorry but that's no way to treat people. Look at the Booking.com profile for this place and sort the reviews from lowest first. You'll see the way the owner speaks to guests.

In the middle of everything, mega cheap, quiet, and the heating was cranked when I got there. I'd certainly stay there again

A great place to stay. Centrally located, conducive to a good sleep due to the quiet and comfy bed. Great facilities, the property is well looked after and loved. Due to covid the 8 bed dorm has been revamped into single room accommodation, so the price is not in keeping with backpackers budget. However, it is affordable and cheaper than anywhere else apart from camping. I enjoyed my stay and thought it was good value.downside there is no contact with the owner. 4 Star rating!

Stay for 1 night and it was lovely.
Room is spacious and clean. Bed is very comfortable.
Has big kitchen with many spices provided, even coffee and tea provided as well.
Has 2 bathroom and 2 toilets and cleaned daily and well maintenanced.
Laundry room provided as well.
Owner is very friendly.
Price is very affordable.
Recommended.
