Bendigo Art Gallery

Went to see the Frida Kahlo photography exhibition, this was fantastic, well laid out from different stages in her life.
Whilst there we explored the rest of the gallery which had a great feel for a regional gallery with good collection of Australian and international art on display, all well laid out.
There is a small gift shop as well as a cafe (the cafe was closed for short Xmas break)

Gorgeous small gallery with a fascinating Frida Kahlo exhibition and a Gothic one too. Has a lovely small shop too. Really loved it. This was a highlight in a day of site seeing in the beautiful city of Bendigo.

We visited for the Frida Kahlo exhibition as well as the Christian Waller and klytie Pate exhibition, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the entrance fees were via a donation! The exhibitions were excellent and were of great interest, well done!

I had a review of this place, but, it seems to be gone. However, it is highly recommended and you won’t regret coming here to see the paintings and visit the cafe afterwards.

A lovely venue, with charming staff and an excellent cafe, overlooking the gardens. The coffee was strong, so no need for a Double-shot! Gothic Beauty exhibition is interesting and beautifully curated.

Some excellent older works on display some of the modern art was not to my taste. A large modern gallery plus a good cafe. Well located near centre of city. Parking can be a problem.

Marvellous place. I am glad i took time off that day and looked around the town and in this gallery. Impressive

Great gallery always has wonderful exhibits to wander around and contemplate. Great little cafe to fuel up for that longer look at the gallery area you didnt manage to get too on the first try.

A beautiful art gallery in the heart of Bendigo. Filled with art treasures from the past to the present. Superb ambience & wonderfully helpful staff. If you're visiting Bendigo, don't miss it.

I went to the gallery with my partner during the white night festival, the time we spent in here was easy going and very interesting.

Entry by donation, liked the contemporary art best, been looking forward to visiting gallery for a while.

Absolutely amazing exhibits and displays, was lucky enough to wander through during White night and the place was buzzing with people.

Awesome art gallery in the centre of town in Bendigo. We saw the Marimekko exhibition and it was stunning, would highly recommend people attend.

Thanks for the lady who introduced the fabulous paintings in the gallery and full history of Bendigo. It's meaningful to spend hours here to know more about this beautiful town!
