Staff and place are great, wings were good, slaw was okay but way too much dressing, chips were okay but not the fries and seasoning you want with fried chicken.

Now. The Mac and cheese. Whoever made/created/okayed the mac and cheese needs to be shamed and embarrassed. What do you actually think you’re doing serving that tasteless mushy slop to people and calling it mac and cheese, be so serious. Even if it was decent, charging $10 for a portion the size of a deck of cards is absolutely ridiculous. But no, the worst part is just how bad it is. It’s woeful. Disgusting. Honestly the worst I’ve ever had. Reassess your life and do better.

Good flavours all around but the chicken was definitely on the drier side. A lot better as a sandwich because you get sauce and lettuce to break it up a little. Slaw on the side is a good idea as well.

Tried the bottomless wings and we were served by a kind and attentive waitress. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience!

Great dinner with friends. Smart casual dining. Food is excellent and drinks are reasonably priced. Have had a couple of times where I've had to follow up a side or a drink on the last few times I have been in but overall great service.

This is a very honest review. I went today with my brother and kid and we were truly disappointed. The chicken in the burger was overcooked and was no where near the classic Belles I have always had in Sydney. I must say i had truly wasted $26 on the burger and fries. Not going again.

I order 4 pieces wings with fries with thier original seasoning OMG it was so salty the chicken but I was so hungry I ate most off it

To put it simply. Good lord.
I ordered the chicken drumsticks in original sauce with Mac n cheese and a peach iced tea.
Let me tell you. Good lord.
The chicken was so crispy, tasty, succulent and satisfying.
The chicken was so good, I forgot about the peach iced tea. It made me forget that I'd been working 12 hour days for the past week. All that melted away with this chicken.
Treat yoself. Visit Belles hot chicken and let your worries melt away.

Absolutely beautiful and cozy from the moment I walked into this restaurant, really loved the design. A very nice American diner vibes and their staff were so welcoming:) I must say the best fried chicken in Melbourne. The chicken - ordered them HOT is juicy and delicious and I love them but if you can’t really handle spicy then just order them normal, also loved their Mac & cheese. Definitely coming back.

The food is generally great - good light and dark meat. Spice levels fluctuate a bit between visits (if you've got a low tolerance for spice I'd err on the side of caution - similarly if you're a heat addict, go one step higher to make sure you get a hit). Sides are small but delicious (mac and cheese is great, the ranch and blue cheese sauces are always good). There's a lot of fried chicken in the cbd but Belles remains it's own thing; the spice-dredged crunchy heat sets it apart from the korean style or blander junk food options. Only had to take it down a star cos they dropped my favourite menu item, the pound of wings! And prices go up every time I visit, but that's Melbourne for ya.

My recent visit disaster. After being seated, I placed my order and patiently waited for my food to arrive. Unfortunately, I was still waiting almost an hour later, with no explanation for the delay. I repeatedly asked the staff for an update, but they seemed completely clueless about the situation and offered no insight or assistance.

In the end, I had no other choice but to leave the restaurant hungry and disappointed. While one female staff member did offer a cursory apology, it did little to ease my frustration and disappointment at the overall experience.

Rolled in solo -“and starving for late lunch after 2.30pm. Tenders were fresh, side of chips enormous and my request for extra pickles was met with 20 of them on the house. Friendly helpful service. Great experience this afternoon. Will be back.

You need to let customers know if there is going to be a 40 minute wait on food. Common courtesy.

Not bad. Could be more chicken, less batter in the burger. $27.20 is a lot for a burger, dip and chips on a Sunday. No drink.
Service is good but very shy on clearing plates from those that have clearly finished a long time ago.
Wet wipes available on table are great.

Jason is the bees knees! I come in with my partner all the time. His energy and attitude is so uplifting. And don't worry about those 2 stupid girls that came in yesterday evening and gave you grief. They're 2 girls, they need to be seated at a 2 seater table. Not 6 a seater. People are far too entitled. Keep up your high spirits Jason. Love Clara & Don

Very long wait for food (> 30 mins). No offer to compensate, e.g. Taking a drink off the bill.

Good vibes from staff and the environment. Meat was big and juicy but the flavouring was not yummy or spicy (second-highest spice level). Skin was dry. Chips are of typical frozen variety from Woolies/Coles.

Didn't enjoy the buffalo chicken sandwich. The chips weren't anything special. Not worth the price. Schnitz is better.

Chips far too salty with a miserly portion of gravy. A jug would have been better rather than the supplied thimble.
Chicken drumsticks were cooked well but bland. Yes they were spicy but they had no flavour - just heat.
For a three cheese Mac&Cheese, it needed a lot more cheese.

It's Belles. The food is f*king amazing as always, service was great except for one tiny hiccup - we had ordered drinks to the table half way through our meal, but they never came - so towards the end of our meal, we had asked the same waitress to have the drinks to go instead which she said would be okay. We ended up finishing our meal without the drinks, and when we went to pay, we found out that the drinks were never put through the system and that it wasn't possible to takeaway the drinks (I think she was new). Regardless, everything else was top notch. Highly recommend. Mi
