Beechworth Lake Sambell Caravan Park

Wonderful 3 night stay in a poweredsite. Office staff extremely friendly and helpful on arrival. Kym expertly guided us onto our site and came to our rescue along with Ryan when we had trouble with a dodgy bed roller in our campertrailer which would have ruined our trip. Much appreciated guys for all your help. Beautiful location and amenities. Great spot when travelling eith a rather large furbaby who had a great time meeting new friends. Will be back for sure.

Beautiful park, clean amenities, the walk around the lake is great but don't take a pram trees are huge and gorgeous! Lovely people who run the park with plenty of games for the kids, mini golf, play equipment, pump track, badminton.

Had a wonderful stay on a powered site. One of very few places who guide you into your site since we have been travelling around oz. Our site was perfect for us with 2 dogs as we had a grassy area behind us with a little running brook. Short 1-2 min drive to town. We wanted to extend our stay but the park was fully booked. Really enjoyed our time here. Good toilet block and staff were friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fabulous Caravan park walking distance to Beechworth, We have been coming here since the 70's love is place all year round.
Stayed again 12/6/20. Our home away from home with hassle free caravan storage just pack up and leave, The owners take your Caravan and store it for you put it back on a site when returning. Great service. Thanks Rodger and Sue your the best.

Great experience first time stay hired out a budget cabin for my 10year old & I for 4 days. (family in other bigger cabins) Only down fall was bunk bed room was too small daughter felt suffocated and the shower head was very small & had no extension so showered in the guess shower block, other then that beautiful park friendly staff and friendly guests would deff recommend Lake Sam bell caravan park to other & would definitely stay there again. The lake is beautiful, have play area for kids, mini golf for the whole family to enjoy and offer kayaking/canoeing good price.

Very nice stay at Lake Sambell Caravan Park, great location, easy walk into town and lots to see and enjoy in Beechworth. Park location could not be better, right on the lake with easy access to walking and bike trails. Staff very friendly and helpful, we traveled in our motorhome with our pet dog and finding a pet friendly location with such great amenities is a great bonus. Will definitely be back and can highly recommend this park.

Stayed 2 nights in caravan on powered site. Very helpful staff who accompany you to the site and help you reverse into ideal position. Amenities very clean. The park is well run and all the staff are very pleasant. Will return for certain.

Not only was the Lake Sambell Caravan Park spectacular in it's setting & service, but the surrounding township and it's people were equally welcoming and helpful. Time & existing holiday bookings against us, we will be back.

Recently stayed at Lake Sambell CP for Easter. What a fantastic park, the booking service was fantastic. With Vickie being very helpful and assisting us to book a site during this busy time.
Very clean amenity blocks and lots of fun Easter activities for the kids.
Highly recommend this park, walking distance to town and fantastic tranquil location.
We loved it so much, we've booked again for next year.

This was a great caravan park. The amenities were spotless and the cartoons on the back of the shower and toilet doors were hilarious. They helped guide me into our caravan spot and couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Driving into the park past the autumn leaves was just beautiful. It was a 10-15 minute walk to town, easily done and Beechworth just has so much to offer. Couldn't be more happy and we would return in a heartbeat.

This is one of the best caravan parks we have stayed on. Beautiful setting, very well maintained, with friendly, helpful staff. A staff member will help you park your caravan. Sites are spacious with plenty of shade trees to make for a very relaxed atmosphere. Facilities are kept spotless.

The unpowered sites were reasonable, although with the rain some sites could do with some minor regrading along the road side. The deciduous trees are impressive as they change colour and will be more beautiful in years to come. Keep planting more trees around the lake for future generations to enjoy. The staff are friendly and courteous.

Just spent 5 nights over Easter weekend. What a beautiful and fantastically run park. All staff (and plenty of them) are very helpful and super polite. Fire pits and wood on site can be purchased 'Woody' the wood truck goes around each day. Bins at all sites emptied daily, amenities very clean, great laundry and plenty of play things for kids to do. The trees and lake are magnificent. It's one of the best parks we have ever been to, booked straight back in for next year.
Well done, will definitely recommend and return again.

Fantastic Easter holiday again with family. We always enjoy ourselves when we stay. Plenty of activities within the park and in town for kids. Pubs, hotels, brewery, bakery, lolly shop, icecreamy also. Plenty of shopping opportunities, walking, riding on the rail trails also.

Lake Sambell Caravan Park. Again chosen for a Dog Friendly Park. The girls in the office were very nice and helpful. We asked for a caravan park near toilet block as we took our 94 year old mother. We were offered a toilet extended toilet seat if we needed but the toilets were fine. Showers and toilets very clean.
The whole place was great. Good location and great walks around the lake and back of caravan park. I would recommend this park

Beautiful spot on the lake.
Good communal area with kettle, TV etc.
Roads can be a bit hazardous with kids riding bikes out in front of cars.
Good facilities with portaloos in camp area as well as main toilet block. Taps conveniently located for drinking water.
Gorgeous trees providing lovely shade for camping.
Duck, kookaburra and fox? Noises.
Kayak hire could be something fun to do.
Other leisure activities including park and volleyball/badminton net over near cabins and main buildings.
Walking distance to/from the township if you're keen.
Patrolling by staff could be beneficial to ensure people aren't making raucous at 1: 30am which dampened the camping experience a bit for us with our family.

There are a lot of very positive reviews but I don’t agree. The location is lovely and overall the park is clean. I feel like the plots are smaller than a lot of other parks. There are VERY limited showers and regularly a line up to use them (only 4 in the main female shower block, and a transportable unisex set with 3-4 additional showers that I didn’t use). The main shower block is clean, but the shower alcove is very cramped for space. It would be tough having a toddler in there with you, not to mention 2. I didn’t see a family bathroom but it says there is a baby bath.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay and dog friendly, Jackie and Kym are the best hosts great for a laugh highly recommend and will definitely return

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Sambell, plenty to do for the children. Lots of room for them to ride their bikes.
The staff were very friendly. Parking the caravan with their help was a breeze.
The kids loved the afternoon trailer rides, that was a highlight! Amenities are very clean.
Last but not least, they threw the best new years eve party, which the kids raved about for the next 3 days.

Stayed here after a week 4wding in the high country. Amenities are well kept, however are a fair hike from my site at the "hill". It didn't bother me until I had to walk my Mrs to the shower block.
One thing I wish there was more grass as I like to earth myself when I camp.
