Bedi's Indian Restaurant reviews
58Thank you Davindar ji for hospitality and awesome butter chicken! Will definitely visit the place again.beautiful ambience.
My family and I have been coming here for 15 years and we love it. Best butter chicken and best naan in Melbourne.
Brilliant food and great decore and owner always happy to help. Byo too which brings Bill down heaps. Criminally underrated gem!
Don’t do it. Seriously. Go else where. I ordered on UberEats and it was horrible. Butter chicken was tasteless and chicken was chewy. Also, my garlic naan was more like an oil Naan. Really disappointed and can’t complain to UberEats as they used their own delivery partners - and there is no option to complain either.
Thank you Bedi’s for another lovely meal (and the complimentary bottle of Pinot Grigio). You save our sanity during lockdown. The Tandoori Platter, Chicken Butter Cream, Dhal Gosht (naan & jasmine rice) all sensational as usual.
Tasty food, great service, quick. Building is on the cheap and cheerful side of things. Good value eat.
We love, love, love this place. OMG. I just kept stuffing my face well-and-truly after I was full. Butter chicken is divine. But I love the chops, the chicken saag, and so much more. We are regulars.
Properly spiced vindaloo, fabulous dhal, tasty roti and beautifully marinated tandoori. Delicious every time we order for delivery.
Horrible and stale food. The menu is cluttered, not well thought out, at times handwritten. The chef has no experience whatsoever. The kitchen is dirty and doesn't meet FHS. The order instructions are not followed and starters are served with rotis which make no sense to me. The service is abysmal at best.
Had heard great reviews from a friend so returned a second time after a try again and had a lovely meal. Only had takeaway but will be returning
Had the $12 lunch with the mixed vegetable curry. Not just it's value for the money but it was also delicious.
Can't say anything about atmosphere or service, as I always get delivery which is super fast and super delicious.
Such terrible food taste and not fresh at all. Our delivery order was ready in 10mins 2 curries and naan which is not possible if you are making fresh food for your customers. It was pre packed just heated in the microwave. Not fresh food and the taste was pathetic too. Can’t believe people giving 4stars to this place just fooling customers who have no knowledge if indian food I guess.
Worst part is the owner does not want to listen or accept feedback which is really a bad way of doing food business.
Not sure what they are doing right, very very average taste, I wasted my money and chicken tikka masala was absolutely devastating, no taste at all. Chef need to step up the game big time.
Extremely over priced! Flithy kitchens! Going to toilets (disgusting) to descover (flithy and third world standards) I will never eat there again! Used to be one of favourite restaurants. Butter Chicken used to yummy! But seeing their dreadful hygiene standards! Not anymore! Wake up and clean up your act before it's too late! Unfortunately for you I will never go again! Not changed in years1
Cheap and cheerful, the friendly owner was too happy to stop for a chat. Colleagues introduced me to this place as part of the Friday lunch ritual. From the small menu, most of us chose the butter chicken with rice and roti. The meals arrived shortly after we placed the order.
Generous pieces of chicken in deliciously creamy curry soon kept us occupied. I looked around and every dish was empty. Lots of praise by the colleagues who enjoyed their meals. For $12 this was extremely good value in a sit down restaurant.
The decor hasn't been updated for.and the menus are worn, but we came here for neither. As we excited, the owner cheekily says "see you next week. " I can understand how my colleagues have become regulars here.
The customer service here is amazing, the waitress attends to my needs by filling my cup of water when she sees I have finished it without me even calling her, I have now been 3 times for $12 lunch specials which I have tried 3 different Curry’s and all have been great. When you buy a can of coke ive been given a free yogurt and something else which is yum and that’s really nice. Also I’m personally a big fan of the decor inside, it may seem outdated to some but i love the vibe it gives off. Highly recommend for anyone that wants authentic tasting Indian food for a bargain price during lunch. Also the owner his hilarious and cracks a lot of jokes which keeps me coming back.
