Beckett Park reviews
41A hidden gem in the suburbs. The Botanical gardens are great. Parking is good. Toilets too. A tower with a great lookout-you can see the bay! A maze for the kids. Some protected bush. A little bit of everything. Lots of seats. I saw only 1 picnic table. We were there in winter and it was really cold and windy. Apart from that it was great;
This park is really great for young kids (5-) Older kids can have fun too but less to do.
Great playground, 2 swings, a sandpit, a tiny little trampoline, big slide at the end of a fort, a see saw, and some balance beams.
A nice feature is this small stone tower you can climb from the inside (at the end of the path, not in the playground). Needs adult supervision as the stairs are very steep.
And lots of open space otherwise for dogs to run around.
Good amount of parking if entering via Parring Rd. I've never come here and not found a parking spot
A beautiful park with a lookout that's stunning, a remarkable children's playground and wonderful variations of garden and indigenous plantations. It has it all.
Excellent playground, lots of variety. Mini trampoline good for lowering the effect of red cordial me thinks.
Great children's playground with a range of equipment to satisfy all ages and stages.
A few picnic tables and large shady trees are perfect for a picnic. Drinking fountains and public toilets too.
A maze, sand pit, flying fox, slides of all sizes, and other standard equipment make this a mecca for families on the weekend.
Great playground for kids with a lot of shades and different areas to cater older kids' activity.
Love this park, it’s perfect for kids under 10.if you have kids under 4 you will have to keep a close eye on them!
Particularly beautiful in springtime, when such a wide variety of Austraian native plants are in flower.
A large playground will keep the kids entertained for hours. The park has wide open spaces for picnics and ball games, seating, water fountains and toilets. Next to Beckett Park is a small Botanical garden which is also worth a visit. The mozzies can be bad so bring along your aeroguard.
Both sites are wheelchair/pram friendly.
Brilliant PARK, VERY SAFE, CLEAN, TIDY, WELL MAINTAINED, EXTREMELY SAFE FOR LITTLE CHILDREN AND DOGS
Fantastic park to relax and sit in the sun, or exercise with your dog.
5pm is usually the dog meet up time.
Great big play ground for kids too.
A great place to take the kids. A great playground with big fort. A stone tower to climb with views. Picnic area. Bushes to hide in. And most importantly, lots of shade!
Lots of open space to run around. The play area is one of the best I've been to. Big enough not to get lost. Toilets are clean. Parking is adequate. The tower is always a highlight. It is open only at certain hours though. Love going there!
Beckett Park.still visit. My parents used to take me & my siblings there in the 60's. Nice place 4 a picnic & the children's play ground is terrific. The beautifull gardens next door are also Excellent. Picnics & Wedding photos.
Fantastic park, great playground with well maintained grass and plant areas surrounding. Usually quite busy on weekends so if you wanted to spend the day there just be aware many people get down. Overall jsut a great place
We love this park! Playground is very big and lots of fun. Plenty of places to walk, picnic and explore. Maranoa Gardens nearby are also worth a visit, but close at 4 on weekdays, 5 on weekends.
It is a great place to enjoy a afternoon or have a picnic. Play ground is sensational and good for young children and more mature. Would recommend for everyone
Dear council, you have an unfenced dog park next to playground, and despite your try hard signs to keep dogs out of play area, dog owners dont comply. I guess you will wait for a child to have its face bitten off by a mut before you change things. Everytime we visit the park, and thats 2 times a week, dogs are wondering in the playground, digging and pissing in the sandpit. Such a poor effort.
Great place to walk your dogs (off leash) beautiful environment, clean, well kept, playground area, bbq facilities. Beautiful scenery and very inviting. A must see!
