Bean & Base - Cafe - Bar - Woodfired Pizza

This place isn't worth a visit, especially as central Geelong and its wonderful collection of boutique cafés is only an extra five minute drive away. The bedside manner of the two workers when I visited was prickly at best, and when the food was brought out there was no love in its delivery. No friendly small talk whatsoever. Nothing to make you feel that spending your hard earned cash in the place was worth it. The food itself was cooked satisfactorily but that's as it should be when your menu isn't that adventurous. The brekki menu is more like brunch and missing some key brekki type dishes, and from what I could see vegan and vegetarian options are limited. If you're in this part of Geelong for food, maybe check out Federal Mills just up the road. It's the better option.

Lovely food and friendly staff highly recommend it and make sure you try something different in there menu I did and it was fantastic.

Coffee was good but the wait for it was ordinary considering there were 2 other people in the cafe ordering for themselves.still probably the best cafe for km's

Great food. Great pricing. Only downside was more staff needed. Only 2 there but place was very busy.

Oh. And you have to try the Double Decker. Simply awesome.

My food was delicious there, i love the chocolate lava cake! I go down there as many times as i can! I love going there when there is live music.

It may be an unremarkable looking cafe but the food is excellent. Superb vegan options. Great coffee.

Only had a coffee and cake here but would come back for the all day brekky. Lovely atmosphere. Quiet considering its off a main road. Their Apricot and Walnut bread was amazing! Great place to visit after a long walk along Eastern Beach

Went for lunch on a Friday. Half the place was empty and 3-4 staff were working and yet it took more than 40 min for one of our meals. The others took about 30min. Pretty slow if you are on a work lunch. Fried chicken burger was pretty bland. Chips are ok but very small serve. There are better place around for less. The menu is pretty pricey for lunch.

Hi, this place just wants you to come in and try what they have for you to eat and drink. The coffee is great, the food we had was also great, we got there at about 2: 00pm and they close at 3: 00pm, they open at about 6: 00am for breakfast, should be worth a try.

Amazing! Very kind and considerate staff, nice coffee, and the food was incredible and fresh and cooked perfectly, every individual component was made to the best ability. I cant find a single thing wrong. Go there and i guarentee you cant be disappointed!

Lovely warm interior with friendly staff and nice food. The pizzas were a particular highlight.

Have been regulars at Bean & Base since it first opened. Great service - quick and personalised. My kids love going there. Has been a wonderful addition to the Rippleside neighbourhood. Best coffee, hot chocolates (warm for the kids) and milkshakes in town. Lucky and his staff are welcoming. A must place to visit.
