Bean & Base - Cafe - Bar - Woodfired Pizza

The wood fired pizza here was amazing, generous in size, and very flavoursome.
Staff were attentive and courteous, highly recommend!

Off the Spirit of Tasmania at 7AM, was looking for some brekkie. Bean and base cafe was the recommended cafe on Google (would reconsider that, Google!) Got to the cafe. Waited at the counter with 2 others, whilst the fella behind the counter just made coffees and didnt even bother to greet us, let alone chuck on a smile. When we were served by the female staff member that arrived, was told breakfast doesnt start until 730AM. Ordered 2 coffees and toasties for takeway. Came back to pick them up 5 minutes later, and they'd been palmed off to someone else. Had to wait an extra 10minutes.
Pretty poor service/hospitality (if you can call it that)
In a prime location near the Spirit, but cant even serve breakfast!

We found this cool little cafe after a long ride over from Tasmania and in need of a good breakfast. The food was outstanding and obvious the chefs love what they do. Cozy little space with a wood fire oven and open kitchen. If it hasn’t been 7: 30am I would have tried a pizza. Friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere.

My mum got me onto Bean and Base as she lives super close. I frequent it a lot. Love it. GREAT casual food. Good vibe. Relaxed. Friendly yet unobtrusive. Well priced. Love it.

The place is cozy, the staffs were nice and the foods we got are recommended, very flavorful and big serving. It's totally worth the try and I will come back.

Easily the best cafe in Geelong. Great coffee, excellent pizza, wonderful customer service and staff. I couldn't think of a better place to go up a belt size than this excellent establishment. P. S - Definitely get a milkshake!

Bean and Base Cafe have reasonably priced meals which are all delicious and fresh with well made coffee as well as. Highly recommend them for a casual brunch with friends.

A great place for food.it was unfortunately hard to hear people across the table due to the background music being too loud. Apart from this, a great spot.

Bang for buck second to none. Very decent serving sizes at reasonable price leaving you feeling satisfied (unlike at many other cafes). Customer service and coffee probably not Geelong’s finest, but we love Bean & Base and keep coming back)

Terrific stop over for lunch if passing through Geelong. Very good coffee and great luncheon. ️️

Pizzas are to die for! Tapas meals are delicious too and here is my favourite tapas place in Geelong. Staff are also always friendly with quick service

Really nice food, and reasonably priced (specially for public holiday when I visit), I would probably work a bit harder on the customer attention side of the business, but in general really good

Fantastic vibe & experience, staff were nice & welcoming, wide selection of food & drinks, food tasted great, the brownie I had was awesome, would visit again & try the pizza next time.

What a delightful little place! Food is delicious and of good portions. Prices are reasonable.
Cocktails were nummy! Service is so friendly and last night they had live music and was just a joy to be apart of the atmosphere. Im not sure what else you could possibly ask for! Thanks B&B expect to see me back!

Second time in for breakfast after working the night shift.coffee and omelette absolutely beautiful.

They had no fish and chips on the dinner menu they should just have no dinner and breakfast menu

I only had coffee but my friend had a gluten free breakfast and said it was very good; it certainly looked nice and made me question my decision not to order something to eat!

This place is amazing! My wife, dog and I stopped here for breakfast on our way through and what a little gem this place is, the food tastes incredible and for the price you pay the quantity is there too, unlike other places. We had a big breakfast and eggs with toast with a few add-ons and they went above and beyond with service and quality. Their options for Tea are many and tasted delicious. Will be where I go whenever coming through. This place is very pet friendly but there's only about 5 outdoor tables so they may get snapped up fast.

A GREAT cafe! Excellent food, friendly staff and an all round happy place to spend some time…. Never disappointed…
