Beautiful location. Mediocre food with exorbitant prices. What's with the staff here? Rudest staff I've encountered anywhere. Red neck waiters who mumble unintelligently is not a good look at any restaurant. Highly NON recommend.

Fantastic a slice of Europe more the greek Islands.

We had our kids 21st birthday celebrations and it was excellent. They organised the outside area for us and catered to the fullest. The food, the drinks, the cakes was wonderful.
The service was excellent. A big thank you to all the staff.

Seafood was overcooked and cold when served, and drink order was forgotten. When it was brought up, two waiters gave us sassy replies. At least the manager was apologetic and compensated over 50%.

Thank you! The food was great. A great place with great views, will bring my family back. Staff were friendly and food came out quick.

Since my feedback was filtered out from your facebook page, i thought id post it here.
On Easter Sunday i went down to Beachcomber Cafe. I ordered a coffee while i worked on my laptop on the beach end of the cafe. Two Staff members came up to me. One in orange and another in blue (older man looked like the manager) the older man in blue asked me to lift up my coffee to which he then proceeds to move my table from under shade and into the sun. I expressed that i would rather be in the shade and he responded wait 10 minutes and implied i should just wait for the shade to eventually reach me (convenient for you but not for me) the staff member in orange even expressed that i would be in the heat of the sun to the worker in blue, he did not care and just ushered other patrons to their seats. I would not have minded moving to another seat as there were plenty available but this option was not offered to me. I did not finish my coffee and left the establishment. Appalling attitude and service.

Really good food and location. I’ll give them 3 because we ordered an açaí bowl and a fruit salad plus two mugs of coffee. The coffee came first but we had to wait more than half an hour for our breakfast
I asked our waiter but he didn’t remember our order and wasn’t too happy about my question.

Good food with spectacular beach views! Salmon in the salads was a bit of overcooked.but the steaks were absolutely on point, perfectly cooked! Their ice cream was also amazing, smooth and not too sweet, a must try whenever you visit St Kilda beach

Good service and great location!
Disappointed with the food. At $33/serve the calamari and chips came out oily to the point of being soggy - the crumb out the calamari was soft and practically dripping with oil. Likewise the chips were warm, greasy and floppy.
Similar experience with the $33/serve fish and chips.
I don’t mind $33/serve for fried food and a bit of salad, but at that price it has to be the best.

Location is amazing. Staff were the worst so rude. Made mistakes in our order more then once and didn’t apologise just were angry at me snatched my plate and walked off. Also didn’t get an item we ordered I told the server and they didn’t care at all bit of a joke to them. Wouldn’t recommend

Great location for brunch or lunch. Good menu for seafood but plenty of salads for vegans like my daughter who was with us. Good walks to markets or the beach.

20min to take drink orders, 30min to get food. Constant follow up with children of staff. Poor attitude across the board. Will not be coming back.

This place used to be quality. The guy organising the tables said there was no seats available. He then had an availability and sat us down. Had the saltiest, standard halloumi salad which they charged $27. After we left. They sat another couple down and said they same thing " no availability ". Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

I would say they set the world record for delayed food. We ordered at 6pm and the first dish came at 6.30 and the last at 8.30 despite ordering at the same time. We cancelled some of the groups orders which they then delivered by accident. Another we wanted to cancel another which they wouldn’t allow. Eventually we got the one we couldn’t cancel as take away and it looked like someone had sat on the burger. Basically a tourist trap.

Terrible ordering app. Requested help and was told staff would come. They did not not. Redeeming factor- cheaper alcohol than the average place. Food took absolutely forever to come out.

Stopped in at the Beachcomber for a glass of wine. Friendly staff and so refreshing to be waited on instead of having to order off your phone. Very extensive Menu and wine list.
Lovely atmosphere.

This restaurant is having a good location looking over St Kilda beach which also easily to be allocated.
I had a great dinner time together with my family at the restaurant during our visit to St Kilda Pier.
Cosy dining environment, very good food, delicious and staffs services are brilliant.
Overall atmosphere was chilled and easy.

Had dinner here. Ordered seafood rice and lamb shanks. Very delicious and big serving, of cos at a price. But I personally think it is worth the money as the lamb shanks are soft and tender, with mashed potatoes.

Waiter was attentive and even helped my family take photos.

I've been here three times now and unfortunately bad service & below average food are the norm. Untrained, unhelpful & diss-interested staff very casually serving over-priced food. The only reason you'd visit is the view and the other options are closed.
Unfortunately gives a negative score to Melbourne's great food reputation.

Awesome envirment but It's too expensive even more than 5 star hotels cafe's price is lower than this cafe's price.
