Beachcomber Cafe reviews
74I waited half an hour for some $22 dollar fish and chips then when I asked they lied and said it was nearly ready then I found out she lied and they forgot, the staff were rude and disrespectfully and the general atmosphere was terrible
Our visit to the cafe was soured by a rude blonde, curly hair female staff member. When we asked to change seats, she responded aggressively and even tried to take away our plates, despite us still eating. Eventually, another staff member allowed the seat change, but the initial encounter left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Food was delicious. Service friendly and efficient. Had a window seat indoors while a storm raged outside. Nice and cosy.
We ordered food- chips, calamari and chicken.
Firstly, order came very late even though very less customers sitting in dining.
Secondly, everything was soggy like chips and chicken and food was cold, felt like that they re-warmed food instead of giving fresh food.
Secondly, beer that we ordered was finished and they said that they had to go to storage area to get drinks which they should have told when we were ordering so that we could ask for another beer instead of changing beer between lunch.
We called them and requested to get warm food, person said fine and brought same kinda soggy and cold food again.
Fries taste very bad if not fresh and soggy.
They were unapologetic also for providing bad food.
We would not recommend as our whole experience was ruined.
We went twice to this place. Good view and The environment it's fine. They have a lot of option in relation to winged restaurants The food is nice. Don't expect them to bring you a bottle of water and napkins. They never brought them.
Myself and my wife shared fish and chips - the fish didn’t taste fresh and chip’s didn’t weren’t hot. Overall not great quality for what you’d expect from a restaurant at this location.
Great food, service, and location. But first place Ive seen automatically add a tip to a bill in Aus
Perfect place a drink at the end of the day while I watch the Sunset! The food and drinks are always reasonable, and the staff are always good!
Forever my favourite restaurant, amazing and caring staff, perfect food, perfect location, perfect cocktails! Can't wait to come back in after lockdown
Beautiful bay views, friendly and very helpful staff and delicious food. A little on the pricy side but food was worth it, and the serves are a good size - even my two teenage sons had enough to eat. Terrific place for a celebratory meal!
Thank you for being open for take away during this lockdown. We loved the hot chips and coffee. I look forward to coming in next week when you are open again for dinner Thank you:)
This is the third time we have been there.just love the food and atmosphere. Sunday brunch this is the place to go. Prices are very reasonable. 10 out of 10.
There are currently seats on the sand so you feel like you’re in Mexico or the Bahamas. When you can actually dine on the sand with a view of the amazing St Kilda sunset. Orders are made and paid with the phone although overpriced and slow the view and location makes up for it
My friend and I ate breakfast here and were thoroughly disappointed with our experience. We waited 25 minutes before a waiter even brought us water, and he rolled his eyes when we tried to get his attention.
We both got the big brekky and the food was luke warm, the scrambled eggs were under cooked and watery, and the bacon looked like it had been sitting there for a while, hence the dish being practically cold when it was served.
Overall, good and service were sub-par and would never go back.
1st time visitor, won’t be back. Baileys hot chocolate was good but that’s it. Got the pork Eggs Benny.pork was luke warm and the muffing wasn’t toasted. My partner had the avocado bruschetta.it came out untoasted and only a smear of avocado on it. Requested an exchange for a B&E roll (staple Aussie dish) after much discussion with the waiter that the dish was unsatisfactory and lacked taste. The B& E roll came out with the bacon from his original dish warmed up and burnt, egg was cooked through, and no sauce. Definitely would not recommend.
Great location on the beach. Very COVID safe. Order via the app and food and drinks delivered to your table. A good range on the menu and child friendly
Great coffee, and a great choice of food.
Friendly staff with a smile, and great service
One of the best seaside places in Melbourne
Highly recommend for brunch, lunch and dinner and even a drink by the sea side bar
Ordered a big breakfast and a mix Souvlaki but the portions are not fair at all for $75.00!
$2.17 processing fee is also not acceptable while there are many waitresses serving customers. Food was ok but not really special and definitely not value for money.
Perfect ambience for coffee any be it anything! Amazing service luv the food. I luv how staff is given bright coloured uniform.it feels as if u r on cruise
My friend suffered from a medical condition in the cafe today. The staff were very professional and quick to assist, making my friend and I feel comfortable. The professionalism and customer service we recieved was above and beyond and we are looking forward to enjoying our breakfast at your cafe in the future.
