Was terrible, save yourself the time and don’t bother going here, service was slow, food was cold

I've eaten plenty Cabonara dishes and this was sensational best I've had don't miss having a meal here

Super friendly and smiley staff. Big break fast was great and the walnut muffin was so delicious. Great view too. Definitely recommend!

What a gem of a restaurant for Portarlington! First thing I noticed was the wonderful atmosphere - very relaxed and for such a tiny space, the noise was minimal. Secondly the friendliness and warmth of the staff was second to none. Not only did they make us feel incredibly welcome, but they were super prompt in collecting our orders, bringing our drinks and meals and recommending dishes to us! Finally, the food was delicious! I had the chicken parmiagana - it was perfect! My fellow diners had everything from steak to seafood, and seriously we all had to stop ourselves from licking our plates it was so good! Deserts were presented so beautifully - they were truly a piece of art on a plate and tasted divine! Thank you Bay View Bar and Grill for a fantastic evening - we are locals and we’ll be back again and again!

We had lunch on Sunday after a walk on the esplanade. I had the Rockling parcel. It was one of the best seafood dishes I have had. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Value for money and excellent service. Highly recommended

Came to the seafront on a warm night early summer. Our ‘usual’ was closed and came to Bay View. It was excellent.
The service was good, the atmosphere was nice - music and hustle and bustle - but the food was way above my expectations.
Give it go - highly recommend.

We five people went yesterday on a beautiful day Saturday. Although so many people ordering, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. They are always happy and patient to answer our questions. The food are so amazing! I love the Spanish Paella. The seafood is so tender and fresh! The flavor is so good! And my daughter and son love their kids burgers as well! The snapper is wonderful! It is served as a whole fish with chips and salad. We definitely come back again!

Me and my family went too this restaurant on Sunday 2 July. I ordered the “Creamy Beef Pasta”. The beef was beyond over cooked. My son ordered the spaghetti bolognaise.it was clear the sauce came straight from a jar.

My advice to anyone thinking of going, is don’t.

Ordered medium steak serve with well done, professional? And wait for a long time even though no customer.

Coffee was OK. Ordered strawberry pancakes and ice cream. Paid, when they arrived there was no ice cream.asked about that and they said sorry we turn our fridge off overnight so there is no icecream. Could have mentioned that when ordering and paying? Later another staff member gave a different explanation "it had been left out and melted" Which is it?
Smashed avo egg dish was advertised with beetroot and dukkah which it didnt have either.
No alternative to the missing items was offered. Zero interest and zero care factor. Best to dine elsewhere most places provide what you pay for, these guys don't.

Made a booking for outside dining only to be seated inside in narrow area kept on being nocked by waters passing threw to kitchen asked to be seated out like I asked for waiter was very rude! I ordered scotch fillet medium rare and recieved well done salad was stale after eating I showed my appreciation by blocking toilets and passing in the bin,
Don't understand how the place is in business

Had the Bay View Burger. The meat was charred black on one side, the burger patty was dry and over all it was revolting. I wish I had complained about it. The chips were nice though. We asked for water and that never arrived at the table.
