Basil Town

Possibly the best Pho in Melbourne. We’ve been coming to Basil Town for a couple of years and it has never disappointed - consistently delicious!

Had the Pho and spring rolls. Really nice and fresh. Better then the Footscray options. Planning on returning and trying something new.

We’ve been meaning to try this place for years… why did we wait so long? ! It was fantastic. The beef pho is as good as anywhere in Melbourne and perhaps even the best. Dont wait. Just go.

Friendly staff and delicious food. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. My only regret was being too full to order more!

Good quality food. But not the most authentic Vietnamese flavours. Good selection for Vegans tho.

We had the pho, vermicelli noodles, spring rolls and rice paper rolls - all amazing and great service too, definitely recommend.

Me and my sisters had the beef pho and beef rice paper rolls, the beef pho was really nice and the flavours of the beef and soup went well together, the beef rice paper rolls went well with the peanut paste that came along with it. The customer service was really good, the workers were nice and were nice to talk to.

Only been here for takeaway.

I have been searching the west for many years for a pho This tasty. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had and I get the meat and chicken combo. The attention to detail and presentation is on point, even the bag handles. And the man that works there is extremely soft and caring. Bravo team

The salads with fried rolls are crunchy still even after we brought home and so flavourful, the sauces are just at the right blend of sweet, salty, and everything in between. Yum! The ingredients are just fresh, higher quality inside and out. Can't recommend enough. Thanks! Stay strong and still, we will get thru DEFINITELY!

First time ever at this place. I now know why it has a near 5 star rating. I ordered the Striped Bass. The peppers were perfect, the squash was amazing.

Pho is one of my favourite dishes to have and I've tried plenty of them from a number of renowned Vietnamese restaurants. I know this is a big call but I think Basil Town have the best pho I have ever had. It's all in the broth and the broth is super tasty. They also don't skimp on the quality of the beef and the rest of the ingredients. It's very rare to find somewhere that does a good broth and the other ingredients are of such a high quality.

You have to try the spring rolls as they are super delicious. I also love the friendly smiles that we are always greeted with. I can't recommend Basil Town enough.

We have been coming to Basil Town since it opened and we have LOVED every meal. As it is our local, we ordered again last night and noticed they had added a few extras to the menu, including pork sausage. We were eager to try this (broken rice with pork sausage, but other options available) and we were not disappointed! Although the menu seems small, the food is so tasty, very fresh and generous. Our son especially loves the spring rolls. We love everything! Highly recommend to anyone.

Easily my fav place this side of town! It's all about quality and freshness here. They make practically everything from scratch and they even grow their own herbs and chillies. I didn't even really like Pho until I came here, now I cant get enough. Also very decent price's. The team are so lovely and genuine and remember me by name and also what I order! <3

Ordered takeaway from here tonight, ordered a few noodle salads, rice paper rolls and wings, food was very nice and fresh (vegan skewers were very nice), staff were friendly and gave us all free cokes, would definitely order from here again

My husband and I ate here a couple of weeks ago and the pho was one of the best my husband has had, even compared to the pho we’ve had in Vietnam! The broth tastes very different to what we’re accustomed to at the restaurants in Footscray, but in a good way! Alex said it’s in the way he cooks it and the bone to soup ratio. You really can taste the difference and I was quite surprised as I’ve had a lot of pho and this is sensational! The quality of meat is also of a much higher standard which you can tell straight away from the appearance of the meat and definitely the texture. We will definitely be coming back!

Rice paper rolls with their marinated tofu and a beef stock to write home about! Williamstown do yourself a favour and get to basil town.
