Basil Leaf Pho

Fresh, tasty and served with a smile. We felt like we were being invited into their home for some beautiful food.

I’ve had takeaway and eaten in, both times with friendly service, and amazing food. It’s a busy restaurant, as it clearly has a good reputation. I highly recommend this place.

I visited this restaurant as part of a food tour organised by my uni with a group of 16 people. We had the chicken pho which was delicious! Would love to come back and try more dishes next time

Nice service and awesome vibes in the restaurant. Pho is really good and perfect in a rainy day.

No one seemed to want to take our order and after waiting 20 minutes and asking the man behind the counter to be served, we were told to “wait a minute” when he was just standing there.

Customer service is poor and unfortunately a 7% price increase isn’t justified.

Waitress was so lovely the pho was amazing the wonton soup amazing the spring rolls crunchy not oily and sooo good can't wait to go back

Favourite laksa in all of Melbourne and the service is next level everyone is super sweet and generous. The net spring rolls are gf and to die for!

Returned after a few months away and the food is as good as ever - the vegetarian laksa is the best I've ever tasted and the salt and pepper eggplant we had was also delicious. The vegan duck pancakes are also delicious. Portions are big and food is cheap, you can also BYO wine if you like. The staff are also amazing - so friendly and so efficient. Will be back and hopefully soon!

Great food, friendly staff and always a pleasure dining here. If you're after authentic Vietnamese food - Basil Leaf Pho is the place to go.

The BEST eggplant dish I’ve EVER had in my life! When you visit, definitely order fried eggplant. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and flavourful. Great service from the most lovely owner, Anna. Wish we got photos but we were so hungry and everything was so yummy.
10/10 and will definitely be back.

The chicken skewers, fried rice and pork spring rolls were delicious. The quality of the food is awesome. Well worth checking out if you're in the area!

Lovely friendly people and some great dishes, sometimes a bit busy and it takes a while to eat but a Fitzroy staple.

Faves have to be the vegetarian net spring rolls as they are or in a vermicelli bowl.

I love this restaurant, the food is so delicious, there is a huge variety of options and the staff are always so lovely and welcoming. They’re very community oriented too. Everything I’ve tried has been good but I particularly like the net spring rolls and beef vine leaf bún

Would not recommend to anyone. The food was almost tasteless, the portion sizes were minuscule and it was far too overpriced for what was served. The service was fine, and came quickly enough, however I suspect that is due to it being microwaved as it was piping hot and a little too quick. If I could give a half star I would.

Friendly service and delicious Asian food. Ordered the chicken char kway teow, roti and satay sauce, Peking duck pancakes, banana fritters and ice cream, and taro sticky rice with ice cream
