Basil Leaf Pho

Such a lovely place we had the vegetarian and tofu Tom Yum Sup on a rainy day, it was heaven! They have a full vegan and vegetarian menu, and a regular menu as well! I’ll definitely be coming back

Exceptional local eats. One of the very few pho places where the other dishes are as good as the pho. The staff and so accomodating and pasionate about delivering a great dining experience. The owner is such a delight.

We had pho for dinner-takeaway from here, the flavour was fantastic. Serving size was very generous and the service was super quick. Strongly recommend this place and will be back

It pains me to write a bad review. But it’s important to be honest in how upon reflection the experience was.
First though, commend the wonderful service and overall atmosphere.
The lanterns attracted me and was expecting great authentic things.
The Singapore noodles seafood were over salted /heavy on msg.
One solitary prawn (not fresh) placed on top over other inedible seafood items.
Sorry to say but I had to throw the meal away and I do not like wasting food.
Broccoli pieces were small and over cooked although I did eat those.
Lived in Singapore for 2 years so do understand a bit of Asian food culture.
The sugar cane prawn entree I did eat and enjoy.
The service was wonderful no problem with that.
And receiving the 2 mandarins as a complimentary treat was lovely.
However for the overall price of $35 Lunch takeaway I feel this can be improved upon in the future.

Potentially the best beef pho on Brunswick Street. I recommend trying the crab and prawn netted spring rolls. Slowly working my way through more options.

Had the best dinner here this week! The staff are sooo lovely and will show you the best way to eat the dishes. So many vego options too! Easily the best Vietnamese food in Brunswick St! The spring rolls wrapped in a lettuce leaf are a MUST TRY! So good.

Sigh. Took forever to get my dish. Wasn’t even busy. Friends all finished their dishes and had to remind them twice. Couldn’t enjoy my pho after that.

It was good, only went as the sandwich place in the bottle shop closes early during the week.

So delicious, I tried Tofu & Veg Curry Laksa was so good and mild spicy and convenient size, my boyfriend ordered chicken fried rice and he told me was the best fry rice that he have tried in Melbourne. I wanna come back and they have different veggie options

Service was really good and food was amazing, I would drive 50 min again just for this chicken vermicelli

Basil leaf had the best soup I’ve ever tasted. Definitely recommend the veggie noodle soup with mock duck even if you aren’t vegetarian. The owners and staff are lovely too and always helpful. 10/10 will come again

Had a wonderful experience at Basil Leaf last night. Our service was impeccable and friendly. I had lots of laughs with one particular lady who works there! We ordered the deep fried spring rolls, satay tofu for entree. Crispy, fresh and tasty. I had the tofu rice noodle laksa and my partner had tofu pho. Lots of flavour, very fresh and lots of food. Will definitely go back.

Incredible food at a great price, one of my favourite go-to’s in Melbourne since I’ve lived here. Almost worked my way through the entire menu and it’s all delicious. The service is the cherry on top, so you get why this place is always busy.

Best vietnamese on Brunswick st. Go there very often. Big fan. Great vego selection. Where does the tap beer come from?

Very good crowd, good food. The owner is very nice and welcome. Great service. I've been going back a few times now. Love it here.
