An intimate, stylish and sophisticated wine bar/restaurant in a landmark building in an area that's crying out for just such a place. Phillip and his well trained team provide a professional, warm welcome, backed up with a variety of delicious share plates and a superbly curated wine list, full of interesting gems. This establishment deserves to become a Melbourne institution.

️Oysters w/ Balsamic Pearl & Chive Oil
️Humpty Doo Barramundi w/ mushrooms, kohlrabi and garum
️Smoked Gippsland Duck Breast w/ radicchio, lentils and beetroot
️House made Malted Corn Bread w/ smoked honey butter
️Cauliflower w/ squid, kale, smoked salmon roe and beurre blanc.

Thank you, Phil and Marvin for your warm, friendly welcome, excellent service and delicious food (esp roast pumpkin with walnuts and baked cheese with chestnuts). The extensive wine list and cocktails beckon another visit. Stylish, polished yet cosy, intimate. Highly recommended.

I had such a fantastic evening celebrating my birthday at Bar Bianco. Philip and his team were amazing hosts. The food was stunning. Every single plate was brilliantly executed- we loved everything from the corn bread to the the chicken liver pate with white truffle to the baked cheese with chestnut, to the field mushrooms with leek and finally duck with lentils and beetroot. The wine and the service were equally excellent. I booked last minute and they accommodated me and my friends to ensure I had a birthday to remember. Thank you again. If you live in the neighbourhood, you have to go here!

Philippe and the team at Bar Bianco made us feel so welcome in their private dining space. They took care of us as if we were being entertained at home, attentive yet relaxed service and no request was too much trouble. Their staff shared our passion for wine and the kitchen team created delicious plates to share, all in an impressive and immersive atmosphere. We were transported to another world, yet were dining around the corner from home. Highly recommend for a cosy wine and dinner for two or a fun catch up with friends. Thank you for having us:)

I enjoyed a delicious lunch here with my companion. We opted for the set price menu and shared four dishes which came out one at a time. Each was equally delicious and was accompanied by a glass of wine. The service was friendly and professional. I'll definitely come back.

Only had cocktails here but will be back for food (looked and smelt amazing). Great little venue.

Everything is exceptional, especially the bartender very nice and tall, his customer service was great and whole vibe of the wine bar was immaculate.

What more could you want. Great service, exciting food and lovely selection of wines with a Swiss sommelier to lead you through the options. Must have enjoyed it. Booked again for a visit in a weeks time. Nuff said

Impeccable service, fabulous food and great intimate setting. Each of the dishes we tried were cooked beautifully, wonderfully presented and full of flavour. The staff are professional, friendly, attentive and efficient and the setting is modern and light, yet cosy. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here and look forward to visiting again soon.

We had a lovely meal here. The menu has clearly had a lot of thought put in to it. Every dish had interesting flavours and mixes of textures and everything we had was presented beautifully. We had the pleasure of chatting with the Chef about the various dishes and all the effort that goes in to using seasonal produce.

The Autumn cornbread was delicious - way tastier than the usual sourdough. And my dish of the day was the smoked duck breast with pickled cherries. Divine!

Exceptional! Food, service, staff. Five Star all the way. Had one of the best Old Fashion cocktails in town.

Love this bar - sit at the bar for friendly service and a nice chat, the bartender knows his stuff! Great ambience and wonderful drinks. Yet to try the food but I’m sure it won’t disappoint!

My tummy is gurgling from the lack of gf food which is a shame, but it was such a romantic evening and the table service was exceptional, I have to say. My fave was the chicken and broccoli main, avoid the cod is my tip.

Have been wanting to visit since it first opened! Cozy beautiful interiors, delicious cocktails and wonderful desserts. Great place for lunch appointments, a drink at the bar, date nights or just to catch up with close friends.

What a beautiful restaurant. From the friendly staff & ambiance to amazing food worthy of any fine dining rating without the exorbitant price tag. The staff couldn’t accomodate our group enough. The chef personally came to our table to intricately describe each dish & where ingredients were from.
