Bang Bang RC reviews
77Good venue, nice outdoor area as well a spacious front bar. The food was fantastic, super quick to the table, and service was just as good. We had a few dishes and couldn't fault any of them.
I’ve come here a few times now for dinner and I have enjoyed each time. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take any photos as I’m always having a long awaited catch up but I can definitely vouch the food is delicious! It’s a nice space and the service is pretty quick and friendly.
All their sauces are so tasty and go very well with the dishes!
I would recommend for starters to get the kingfish sashimi (I always ask for extra sauce, it’s sooo good - tangy with a little bit of heat), the wontons (again the sauce is delish, also tangy & perfect with the wontons), & corn ribs.
The popcorn cauliflower is hit & miss. Can be quite oily. The edamame definitely nice to have with your drinks while waiting for the dishes to come out.
For mains the barramundi is cooked really well and the half duck is huge, I would order a side of baos to go with them. The pad Thai is a bit on the small side for a noodle dish.
I would suggest a side of the papaya slaw which is the perfect accompaniment for the mains and the roti is a good side to mop up the sauces.
For 2 people I would go for 3 starters, a main & 2 sides and you should be nicely satisfied. Not the most affordable place for Asian fusion. It costs around $170 with 2 cocktails plus have a surcharge of 10% at weekends. It is delicious though and I will be back again. Happy hour 4-6pm from Thursday onwards.
Service is friendly, food comes out quick and it’s got a nice outdoor area for the sunnier days.
I have been dying to come here for a long time and and enjoyed my self here. The curries are good and rich. I did find it a little over priced for what it is
I’ve eaten here before with my kids and thoroughly enjoyed it - in fact they enjoyed it so much that they went back without me with a booking at 6pm just to get turned down by the staff because they are under 18. Never said anywhere that this was a rule and found it extremely rude that they put in the effort to get there and show up on time to get turned down. Poor service. And disappointed no one was notified about this and that you don’t display it anywhere.
We recently dined at your restaurant and wanted to provide feedback regarding an unfortunate incident that occurred during our visit. While I generally had a pleasant experience at your restaurant, there was a significant issue with the wine order that left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied.
To provide some context, I had initially planned to order a specific wine from your menu, one that was reasonably priced and aligned with my preferences. However, I must express my disappointment in how the staff member handled my wine order. Unfortunately, they mistakenly brought a different wine to the table, one that was significantly more expensive (twice more expensive) than the one I intended to order.
Regrettably, we did not notice the mistake immediately, and it was only when we received the bill that we realised the wine we had been served was twice the price of the one we had originally selected. I understand that mistakes can happen, but it was disheartening to be held accountable for an error made by your staff.
As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to expect accurate and attentive service.
I would have appreciated it if the staff member responsible for taking my order had paid closer attention to my request or promptly rectified the situation when the mistake was discovered. Unfortunately, this oversight left me in a predicament where I had to pay for a wine that was not of my choosing and beyond my intended budget.
Excellent service where the food was very fresh and fast to our table - whole family really enjoyed themselves
I went to celebrate New years but the atmosphere wasn't there at all, soooo much better last year. Very disappointing
I love coming here. Staff are lovely, food is amazing. Love the happy hour vibe here. My new after work hangout
Great atmosphere, loved the food. Good service.
Highly recommended. Definitely will be back.
Went for boozy brunch $75pp, food was delicious but found the drink service slow. Our table of 8 only was served our first drink 45minutes in. Cocktails were good though.
Had dinner here, was very enjoyable. Service was a little slow.maybe understaffed. I would definitely go back here though.
Wonderful day for a double bucks. The food was amazing and Maia was a great host. Would go again in a heartbeat
Went there last Sunday with a group of friends for happy hour drinks, very disappointed with the quality of the cocktails and lack of service. Since we were a big group we requested the spacious area at the back, but they refused by saying that " we are closing that section soon"
Recommend Som Tom cooked by Chef Pui, it was so authentic and delicious:)
The skewers were pretty good too.
We went to bang bang about a month ago and they had some really delicious cocktails. This time most of the cocktails we liked are not on the menu and the cocktails taste like they are full of fillers rather than alcohol. There is also only one way to order which is through the payment app they use Meandu. Every time you order a drink you have to pay and the venue charges you 10% plus there is a 1% payment processing fee. So you are being charged 11% on top of your order. There was no option not to use the app and the staff said the fee was for payment processing which it clearly isn’t.
Came to bang bang for a bottemless brunch, I’m very early pregnant and didn’t want the group of friends to know I was. Shaun who works there was absolutely amazing! Made all my cocktails non Alcoholic, but looking the same as the others and very discretely placed all my drinks in front of me. I cannot rate him enough! Amazing service, drinks and foods were amazing, will definitely return:)
I visited this place twice, both times were enjoyable. A quiet Wed night service was exceptional - very attentive, food tasted great too and served quickly. I didn't like how towards the end of the evening the staff kept bothering us if we finished yet. The inside ambience and choice of music was really good. The Mojito cocktail was probably the worst I ever had.
Saturday night so the restaurant was full but we were perched on the outdoor bench overlooking Glenhuntly Rd, perfect on a humid Saturday night for a quick cold drink. Nice ambience, service is via QR code, which is quick and easy. I felt the pricing for alcohol was expensive per glass, I think most wines were $15+ the Asahi was $11 which is standard.
Arrived at 8.15pm on a Sunday evening after seeing a movie at the classic. We asked to view the menu and saw they had our fave dish tuna tartare and asked for a table. We were treated very poorly on arrival & we’re advised by a lady they were closing shortly. We advised if your happy to serve us quickly we are happy to order quickly. It was very clear by her rude and abrupt manner she was over the day. She proceeded to seat us at the bar which is high benches and stools and was completely empty. We asked if we could please be seated in the restaurant or outside which had quite a few full tables and was a lot more comfortable. She rolled her eyes and said ok. She Seated us gave us a menu and told us we have no tuna tartare tonight. At that point we were so shocked by the rudeness two of our party wanted to leave, but we all decided it was getting late let’s just eat quickly and leave. We had a new waitress allocated to us Gabby who was bubbly, polite and extremely professional. We ordered seven dishes to share and a cocktail and drinks. The prawn betel leaf was tiny but ok. We had a dozen oysters which were excellent. The French fries were excellent. The popcorn chicken was ok. Ribs were ok. Salmon was cooked perfectly but the salad was literally inedible as there was too much fresh chilli. Got the bill went to pay and saw we had been charged completely different prices than were on the menu. When we asked about it they said there is a 10% surcharge on sundays. We asked where on the menu or anywhere in the restaurant does it say that. We were told this is new and has only just been added to the website. We won’t be back. Riverland group you can do better. Several members of our family work in food and beverage. We eat out a lot. We rarely give bad reviews.
Can I give 10 stars?
This place was amazing.
Staff were absolutely the best.
Food was some of the most delicious, delectable food I've ever had.
